This was lovely, thankyou for writing this. This reads like a montage in slow motion : as I read I heard not words or voices, but music. There's a great mood of distance and distancing and isolation in this fic- it's lovely. Really glad I read this.

I read up to here and is too depressed to keep going. Child! Light is soo adorable and you have the perfect balance between his intelligence while still keeping him a child.

I love your writing style in this too, it is very lyrical and clean, almost Light-like in efficiency.

... my heart can't take it anymore. They are good people but a terrible fit as parents to this particular child.

This is really wonderful. You've documented Light's brilliance, and his frustration because of said brilliance, so well. It's heartbreaking to read his disappointment time and time again because nothing can hold his attention. Marvelous.

As much as I adored Sachiko and Soichiro I never thought that they were as...good of parents as, perhaps, they should've been. Sure, they were loving and kind but they never seemed to realize that, prior to the Death Note dropping into his life, Light wasn't happy. No matter how good of an actor the kid may be, they still should've been able to see it considering he was their SON and enrolled him in some advanced program or something, anything, to challenge him. Oi.

Anyways, this was so wonderfully written that I'm still feeling Light's disappointment and frustration.

For some reason this just makes me want to pick little!Raito up and give him a hug... somehow I don't think he would appreciate it though.

I have to say that I've really enjoyed this so far, you have a good, solid writing style with a fabulous characterization of Light. I've also liked the little Japanese culture references that have been scattered in, such as the reference to the bone-picking ceremony in this chapter and the mention of konpeito in the last; it's a small thing but it makes everything seem more realistic and genuine. The person who sent that review pretty clearly doesn't really know what they're talking about.

O.O You really are a wonderful writer. This story is very beautiful in a simplistic sort of way and the things little!Light thinks sort of make me want to cry. He's so innocent and lonely that...ugh. :(

I don't really watch a lot of anime or read a lot of manga but there's never been a character that I'm more in love with than Light. He's just so delightfully complicated and I thinnk that you're doing a wonderful job of emphasizing all the miniscule things that have affected Light's psyche over the years and made him into who he is.

I don't think that the whole Kira thing was right... but I DO think that Light never really lost his innocence and he really was a good person at heart. Just a little bit cocky but, hey, who the hell isn't when they're taking over the world and succeeding. If Light had never picked up that Death Note...-sobs a little bit- Potential, much?
