It's so sad and so damned interesting all at once. I really enjoyed it, though now I need to go find something nice and happy, lol.

I used to ask myself, "How could they have suspected Remus? Dear, sweet, loyal Remus?" I love when I read a story that comes up with a good explanation for their suspecting him, and yours is an excellent explanation. Remus doesn't trust himself to resist DE's on the days after the full moon, so he pulls away from his friends. He pulls away, so his friends mistrust him. He WELCOMES the mistrust in order to keep the Potters safe. So sad- but at least it's better than anti-werewolf prejudice being responsible. (And, oh yes, I DID notice Pter doing his small part to increase mistrust of Remus- traitorous vermin!)

I really loved the Mr. Moony/Mr. Prongs "give 'em hell" conversation at the end. It's so sad, knowing that "Mr. Prongs" will indeed go down fighting very soon afterward.

Conversations between old friends... where everything's tense and there's always an underlying fear beneath every word... I've had those. And this captures the emotion so well. Baby Harry was a darling touch as well. Terrific. Stunning. Mmm...

That was amazingly well writen. A perfect view on those terrible times of war and what they did to people. The portrayals of Remus and James were superb, specially the former. It made me feel SO sad that I thought I was going to cry.

Now that explanation as to why they thought Remus to be on Voldemort's side was *perfect*! And god, that whole piece was just so bittersweet. I love that they came to something of a peace at the end, but still...reading that knowing that Remus wouldn't get the chance to be friends with James when it was all over with like he planned, or knowing that Sirius was wrong about Remus and seeing how those accusations were ruining things for all of them, particularly the whole putting James in the middle of things...

It was just so sad, and soooo good at the same time. Gyah! Awesome, awesome fic!
