Good story, I liked your interpretation of the Eurydice and Orpheus story, very interesting comment on how there's more than one way to lose someone.

I could be eloquent, but I'll sum it up and just say that this was absolutely beautiful.

What a beautiful story. The comparison between IshiHime and the myth of Orpheus/Eurydice left me without breath (HadesHueco Mundo); it's an analysis that I already saw briefly in another fics but never so detailed and defined. I really like it.

I always loved the story of Orpheus and fact that you brought two things that I love most dearly was quite exuberanty for me.
Starfire201 chapter 1 . 8/10/2010
Interesting way of analyzing that old myth. I have to admit, I've never thought of it that way before. I just looked at it the way everyone else seems to have: just impatience on Orpheus' part. But this makes a lot of sense as well.
Shinoburedo chapter 1 . 8/10/2010
I adoore it. First, I love Greek mythology too. And the parallel with Orpheus was very deep, the whole reflection behind it was clever, it left me a little dreamy. You re-wrote Orpheus myth with all the angst necessary to an IshiHime fic, and it came out really good and pleasurable to read. Just another OS to review and favorite ;) ;)
nypsy chapter 1 . 8/10/2010
beautiful to read. It would be lovely to read this as a multichap fic-continuing w/Ori's slow healing & eventual return to Uryuu's side... I love almost any Hime het pairing, but there's something so beautiful in ishihime. I'm sure you've got other demands on creative time, but please consider writing more.

Some of your stories are good. And some are just absolutely beautiful, like this one. The writing struck me more than any of your one-shots that I've read so far.

I felt so sad for Orpheus that the first time I read his story (quite a long time ago, since I absolutely love Greek mythology) I wanted to cry. But you've opened up such a different take into that classic tragedy that it makes his story even sadder. Poor Orpheus. Poor Ishida. I hope Orihime will come back to him. :)

Wow, this was beautiful. Great take on IshiHime and the Orpheus/Eurydice story. This really defined for me how I feel about Orihime. I hadn't thought of the Greek myth myself, but it works so well, the image that Orihime has to walk through that long, long tunnel by herself.

I hope she succeeds. C:
