Great job! The references to Drake's past work really well here and go along with the series.

My only criticism is about this fic is that it's too short - I really liked this! Your language is beautiful; to me, the most moving part was "And behind that mask, he hid Drake Mallard, the pitiful culmination of all three." Very nicely done. I also liked that you chose to pinpoint this moment. It's not something I've really seen discussed before, but I never realized how intriguing it could be until I read this. Very good job, I enjoyed this.

Oh wow! I really enjoyed this. It is such a lovely combanation of sad and sweet! Darkwing's insecuraty about the person he is and what people will think about that person just tears my heart up. We all love you Drake!

Nice little one shot, I suppose DW would have had a lot of internal debate over that matter during that time. You just don't typically think about it, because the show just blurred over it.

I have always thought of him as a very multilayered characte3r and to read others interpretations of this is a real treat!
