That was very well written and touching! I really love your flow and word choice. (Askance? Possible my new favorite under-used word). Sadly things like this happen in places we least expect...like church. Narrating for Huey is not an easy thing, but I think you did a great job. The dialogue and descriptions worked together smoothly and made for a very nice read.
