Love love love this story. I have been devouring this story for three days straight any chance I could, even to the point of losing sleep to read. You have a great talent for writing and getting into a character’s head. This is the first fanfic I’ve seen tackle the mental health hardships of their post war relationship in an honest and meaningful way. I think we would all like to see them happy effortlessly and we all enjoy indulging in the drama filled extreme stories of epic fights and tear filled make-ups. Reality is a lot harder, a lot slower, and a lot more insecure. Thank you for filling this realistic niche. I hope more people will take your cue and start to consider what the real consequences of their lives would be. Thanks for the story. Hope for many more.

Well, I have just spent the past week CRAZILY binge-reading this epic story, and what a week it had been! I truly loved it, and have enjoyed every moment! It was very hard to put down when I had to attend to real life stuff (and sleep lol), the development of both Heero and Duo throughout was very interesting, slow and believably paced! I really really enjoyed reading it from Duo's perspective, and how after he focused so much on Heero and his recovery, only later realized that his OWN healing was not yet finished and faced his issues too. It was fascinating to watch him confront this fact over and over again, and confront their struggles and differences, and yet each time his hope for the future, and his love and devotion to Heero, carried him through his doubts and fears. Heero is so sweet in this story, and I love how the depth of his feelings for Duo was gradually revealed - at first it was hard for Duo to know if he could mean 'I love you' the way Duo was hoping, but slowly through Heero's words and actions we get to see that he is perfectly capable of love and does indeed love Duo deeply in return. The flashback stories and reminiscing were also a fun way to get glimpses into little bits of their past together after the fact! :) Anyways, I have entirely too much to say I guess, since how can I possibly sum up all my feelings after such a massive and wonderful story in just one comment? My favourite part is how you write their physical and emotional interaction each time they're close. Each hug, kiss, and tender touch was given the perfect amount of gravity. Heero being so new to those sorts of things made even a slight physical input from him so momentous - and I LOVED how much Duo loved and appreciated each small expression from him. Of course every makeout scene and sexual moment was absolutely smokin and perfect x_X Help. Probably spontaneously combusted each time. I always wish for more and especially would love to see a scene of Heero on top ;) (I'm so greedy doh) Just got the teasing memory flashback of the aftermath which Duo fondly remembered, but YAY I'm so happy how it all turned out in the end and SO amazed by your talent and grateful that you have written and posted this story! :D I love their love SO MUCH, and you do it such perfect justice and make it just the best to read!

I'm not sure if someone had giving you an affirmation on the saying, but, "in the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king," is probably one of the better quotes that I've heard. Actually, after researching Erasmus a bit more, I think a few more of his quotes could possibly be used in a novel setting type background for Duo and the other pilots.

I'm re-reading this, again. I have to tell you that you just have a way with plucking at heart strings with your writingwhen Duo doesn't get an invitation, and Heero wonders why, and it's so obvious Duo wants to be included with and misses the other pilots... ugh. just makes me feel for him.

THIS STORY! You should publsih this. I reread it again! It shows your dedication to this couple. Your other works are great, but this is like your masterpiece. I have never felt so emotionally connected to these characters except in your story. I have read this piece over and over again. Sometimes, I find things I missed! Thank you for your hard work!

discovering and exploring sexuality (great smut!)
this story has everything I love about gw fanfiction and it all comes together brilliantly. reading your newer works I see how much youve evolved as a writer, but this still holds up and it is a classic in the gw-2x1-fandom if you ask me.

I read fanfiction because I loved the GW series but always craved to know more of the characters, so I love post-war stories. And this one has to be the best. It was such an amazing read. I made the right call ‘favoriting’ this story early on. I had great expectations and the story did not disappoint. The plot gradually thickened. The characters developed perfectly. The ending left me positively giddy.
