This is...without a doubt one of the finest stories I've read on this site.

The Characters all feel true to themselves, hardly any OOC given the time frame. Expertly written, expertly conveyed emotion, and an impossibly satisfying conclusion.

Plus the twists! there are so many here that I won't discuss for spoilers sake, but I was caught off guard on so many!

This is definitely my second favorite EEnE fix of all time, right below Ed Edd n Eddy the Teen Series, and probably one of my favorite fics of all time!

Am I glad I clicked on that TVTropes link. This fanfiction did not disappoint, and I spent yesterday as well as a chunk of my night reading it. This was fantastic.

Now some words to the author.
I'm not very familiar with EEnE since I've started watching it very recently, but I could tell right off the bat everyone was kept perfectly in character and this is rare enough to be pointed out. However, I have been in the Mother fandom for long, and I squee'd hard every time I saw a thing I was familiar with. Your references to the game, the naming of the enemies, the frog, the SMAAAAASH!, oh dear I don't have enough words! That was perfect on every aspect!

And of course your title fooled me. Even though the story had begun with a Hinawa sacrifice, I still didn't catch on. I tried to guess every role ahead, from Kevin going full Ninten, Double-D channeling Jeff, Ed turning into Paula, wondering which one would eventually fall into the shoes of Porky... And yet as the story unraveled it took me so look to realize that this wasn't just Earthbound. Even with a Masked Man of your own I still wasn't seeing this was a tribute to not just the second installment, but to the entire Mother series. And dear does it shows...
One final note for this: as the story played out, I found myself humming various melodies from the saga. The nightmare sequences (now that I look back on them are full of foreshadowing, kudos) were expertly written and of course my brain just had to play Red-Green-Yellow-Yellow to go with it. Terrifying.

I'll just finish this by going through the story and picking up some of my favorite lines.
-"PK Riding!" There he goes, becoming Ness himself! When you mentioned PK Love I was wondering what name you'd pick, secretly snorting as I was thinking "PK Bike". I would have loved to see what the others would have named their PK Love but hey, one cannot expect everyone to master it.
-The hot dog scene in chapter 14 was so sweet, haha.
-... The entire 21st chapter was a treasure. A national treasure. Edd is my favorite character in EEnE and I had the biggest, dorkiest smile ever and sparkling eyes as he was being his amazing, lovable self. With just a pinch of Jeff.
-"I'm going to be useless too. So I can be with my friends." Oh, Ed, you wonderful kid...
-Kevin embarrassing himself in front of the monster as he was without PSI made me howl with laughter while feeling a little embarrassed for him...
-The coffee cups! Oh my god the coffee cups! Full fangirl-mode started to kick in as I was reading them. What an awesome piece of writing.
-Poor Double-D becoming a tiny ball of sad in chapter 49, holy god. Really shows how the adventure affects him.
-And as if the horrifying nightmares weren't enough now you're going straight for Tanetane madness?! Dear lord this was so sad!
-"WE'LL NEVER JOIN YOU! NEVEEEERRRR!" Cue me laughing myself to tears.
-Kevin's despair. Oh dear, that was so poignant...
-"with a heart as big as his brain" This is the most perfect, most accurate depiction of Edd I could ever dream of. Beautiful.
This fanfiction was a treasure. I'll cherish it and I'll read it again. Thank you for making me feel so much and bringing us on this journey.

I absolutely LOVE Kevinbound! I haven't watched Ed, Edd n' Eddy in a long time and I had to look up a few names to remember what they looked like but otherwise? I really loved Kevinbound!

You did so well on characterization and keeping me hooked until the last chapter! You're amazing!

My oh my, what a lot of twists in this chapter, especially the thing with Nazz's brother - I never saw that coming! From a psychological viewpoint, though, this chapter was also really interesting, especially with Kevin and Edd's exchange at the end.

I must admit that the story is great overall. This story reminds me of "Edventure of the Thousand year door" by legendofzeldarocks to an extent. Between those two stories, I like this one a lot better because it doesn't steal the characters or the script from the games that this show crosses over and that it puts the elements of the game to good use. The overall story is creative and that you managed to make a well written story where Kevin is the protagonist is put to good use.

Wow! I'm pretty speechless about this ending. This is definitely one of the best Ed Edd n Eddy stories out there. The story kept me interested from the beginning to the end even though I never played Earthbound and the other two Mother games. That just showed me how great your writing and story telling is. I can't wait to read your next work,

Yoshermon, all I have to say...is thank you. Seriously man, thanks for making such an enjoyable crossover between the Eds and the Mother/Earthbound series. I loved it. It had me in suspence, made me feel for the characters, and even made me chuckle at a few parts.

But seriosuly, you've done what only a few crossover writers have done (including myself). You stuck with the story until the end. You thought it out, you wrote it down, and you completed it.

Congratualtions. I loved this fic, and I hope that someday I can find another great work like this.

If this thing were ever made a novel, I'd be throwing money at you, and buy 50 of them.

As much as I hate things, especially good things, to end, you left it off at a wonderful place. A sequel may not work (unless Porky somehow gets back to the EEnE universe), but little one-shot of when they all move on together would be terrific.

It's been a year and four months since I followed this, and I thank you for making this kickass story. I hope to see more wonderful stories from you. But if you aren't making anymore, good luck for whatever lies beyond.

The characters, the description, the development, the plot. Everything went together perfectly.

First thing I'd like to say to you is Congratulations! You managed to finish your story on a satisfying ending.
These last two chapters were some of the most satisfying chapters in the entire story and the final battle with Giygas was handled quite well.
My only question is what are you going to do now?

This was one of, if not THE, best Ed, Edd 'n Eddy story I have ever read. Ever. I am especially glad that Double D has picked up some PSI power, and I'm happy that Eddy and Jonny are staying in the Pomegranate Pool place for a while, so they could all cross over together.

Again, Best. EEnE fanfic. Ever.

Oh... Right in the feels... I can't wait for the end! ...But I don't want it to end either... D:
