TeBlacks chapter 1 . 10/24/2010 Oh God how I love stories like this. Stories when Rory and Jess get back together after the series, it makes it more realistic not to change anything in the series. I just think it was a bit sad that it took them 15 years after Truncheon to finally get together. But in a way that's also realistic. I just really loved this and it's definetly going on my favorites list ) Keep Writing becasue you're really good at it! |
andreabc chapter 1 . 7/26/2010 yes! I'd love to see this story from Jess's point of view... I agree with the reviewer said that maybe Rory was a bit dense not to realize that the story was about them but it's ok... I liked this one-shot very much and it kept me awake until very late last night reading uncomfortably in my bed (I was just checking my email on my iPod before going to sleep!) thanks for the story :) |
JavaJunkie2013 chapter 1 . 7/25/2010 I really liked it i wish you would write more |
Potterworm chapter 1 . 7/25/2010 This is one of the best post-series stories I've ever read. Really amazing piece of work. If I may though, the summary does NOT do the story justice. |
AllRose chapter 1 . 7/25/2010 Really cute little story! but I feel like it ended really abruptly. maybe I just wished there was more... |
cian rhyme chapter 1 . 7/24/2010 I absolutely LOVED this story. You got the characters down perfectly and you write really well. I love how it ended and just the detail you put into it. I really enjoyed reading it. I'm so happy this is the fanfic I chose to read first, because I haven't read many in a while and if I hadn't been able to find many good ones I wouldn't have bothered. But this is honestly fantastic. Yeah, just how well you got the characters down. THANK you! |
kylielink chapter 1 . 7/23/2010 liked it. |
AtticusLovesMe chapter 1 . 7/23/2010 I really enjoyed your story, but I have to admit I thought Rory was a bit dense not to see hers and Jess' story in that book :P Anyway, I thought it was wonderful, and I'm interested to see how different we will see it from Jess' point of view. Well done! |
Lady.of.Victory.Rising chapter 1 . 7/22/2010 Oh my god. It's PERFECT! It's absolutely wonderful and emotionally complex and I like the idea of skipping so far forward! And the book? Perfect. I always hate it when people assume that The Subsect was Jess and Rory's story, because that's so cliche it's sickening, but somehow I do think that, if he was going to survive the emotional aftermath of The Real Paul Anka, he would have ended up writing their story (as he saw it, at least) anyway. This was fantastic, and oddly, you know what struck me the most? Your little insight into the contrasting styles of writer's block. I've got experience with both sides of the coin. There are days when I'm just cranking out words (for articles OR for stories, it doesn't matter) and they don't sparkle at all and I hate it but they have to be finished so I finish them, quality be damned. But there was a time, when I was about eleven, that is still spoken of in hushed tones by my entire extended family because I was absurdly cranky and irritable for nearly six months because I couldn't write. It's HORRIBLE. I can completely buy it being enough to convince Jess to move back to Stars Hollow. As to writing it from Jess' point of view... I'm inclined to say that that decision is up to you. It would be nice to see it from Jess' POV (mainly because I just like Jess more, though I'm far from a Rory-hater), but I actually would REALLY rather see a sequel. I really want to see what happens when Rory returns from Israel. It strikes me as important to see a continuation. Therefore, I shall finish my extended review, tailored to match your story's length, with the statement that I absolutely adore this, and fully intend to check out your other stories at a time when it's not so horribly late at night, because you are a fantastic writer of Lit wonderfulness. |
