Especially the last part: "He lifts the strands to his lips, and in a gesture too romantic for a little boy, kisses it and wishes for the strength to protect her." That is SO Gin. You wrote him in character and yet, still, hopelessly in love! This is such a sad and lovely fic and thank you for writing! :3 |

I actually really liked that you went in reverse chronological order. It seemed fitting to start with where he appeared to ruthlessly cut her down and then delve into their background and show that that was the one thing he never could have done. Well done. |

I loved Gin in this so much; I don't think you could have written him any more perfect than here! I really like how the story progresses in a reverse order. The metamorphosis between now and then is so painful, especially when you contrast Gin's simple childlike wish for strength enough to protect Rangiku with the culmination of Aizen's betrayal. Theirs is the kind of love that really does hurt. Loved this! |
