As a Bleach and Honorverse fan, I can't honestly say anything but "Brava!" here. I caught the ships she commanded in the name. :) I also liked the lines Ichigo said describing Soul Society, about them calling it home.

Okay. This is a cool concept.

Nice. The use of Lord Burdette as the 'enemy', very believeable as well as a bit surprising and interesting, considering all her enemies.

Not knowing what a 'hollow' is lets my mind conjure many descriptions, are they nazgul like? Dementorr like? Knowing that both are the spirits/sould of those who have departed, helps but does hated drive/create a 'hollow'?

I must admit, its unique. Just a couple of things, though:

1) "Dancing on the Clouds Always Unconquered, Victorious and Fearless with a Hawk's Wing and Wayfarer's Dream: Toiseach Corona Quercus!" is way too freaking LONG! I'm sitting here, picturing Honor trying to say the whole mouthful, and then the Hollow eats her while she's distracted. Maybe go back and cut it down to the sword's name?

2) Past tense is the standard tense in writing.

3) Try and cut back on the gratuitous Japanese. "Shinigami" is fine, as that's just cooler than soul reaper, but otherwise try and stick to English if the anime/manga (whichever you're using) does.

I would solve the problem by having only worlds with large amounts of people with Faith have enough spiritual energy to keep souls around long enough to turn into hollows. This would limit the need to have active and constant presences on worlds with active religions and/or spiritual minded people that are also older, maybe a 1000 or 1500 plus years of such spirituality. Also, the tree cats are sentient, maybe they have their own version of the afterlife with their own problems and ways to police them.
