Usually I would be estatic to find and read any fanfiction or see any fanart of James and Katie because I think they are one of the most adorable pairings in this show(I've always thought so at least) but I don't know...I just did not really like this. I am not trying to be rude but you see, you rushed into it and it didn't seem really realistic. I mean, it could have possibly worked if you had given their relationship some time to build or at least have him react to her breaking his comb, calm down, him forgive her, ect before just moving on to them kissing. I honestly think that James/Katie is the cutest thing and this pairing could work and the ideas within the story could be good, just not entirely in the way that you portrayed them. That's all I have to say at the moment :) Keep up the good work, I just wanted to leave a comment for when you write next time
