Great story.

I haven't read Persuasion, so I've just downloaded a digital copy. Your version is fantastic.

I love this so much! I've wanted to read it for some time but I didn't want to read this before the original Persuasion, but a friend got it for me a few weeks back and after reading that I could finally read this.

To be honest I thought it'd be set in a Austen time period but this works really well too (and I'm really glad that RJ's out of the picture!) and the story flows really well and is really interesting!

The whole fic is great obviously but I really love the letter part the most- I think it stuck well to the Austenian style and emotions and was really sweet and lovely on top of that. (I admit I kind of wished you'd included the "half agony half hope" part because that's such a classic but of course this letter works very well for the context.) And I love the ending, it's really just so happy and sweet!

Anyway I'll stop rambling now but once again this is an amazing story, thank you for writing it!

Awwww, this was so sweet. Persuasion is my favourite Austen novel and this was probably the best adaptation of it that I’ve ever read. So cute! Thanks for sharing this!

I enjoyed greatly this story ! And as it contained the basic plot of Persuasion, it was even better !
The similarities between the stories were great (made me want to read Austen again) and you managed to make it plausible for Jane and Lisbon personnalities, you kept them mostly in character and their interactions were wholly appreciated !
How you connected everyting with Red John, Minnelli as the mentor etc etc well done !

Oh my, this feels familiar. If you change Elliot's name to Pike, well, there you go. I think Elliot's going to turn out to be a bad guy, maybe even Jenkins' buyer. During last year's painful Pike arc, I thought maybe he(Pike) would turn out to be a bad guy and Jane would save Lisbon. But nope. But I digress. I'm really enjoying reading your story-you have the rare ability to write good case fiction and believable character development.

I absolutely adored this story (as I was expecting, since I love all your other work). You're totally right in that Persuasion really seems to fit Jane and Lisbon. Also, the letter was pure perfection. The letter was beautifully written, and I loved how Jane presented it to her in origami form. It seemed so fitting for them.
Thank you for this story! As an immense Jane Austen and The Mentalist fan, it was an immense pleasure to read.

Oh my, do you remember writing this? This is painfully close to the Pike story arc. I've been reading old stories to pass the time, and just came across this, so I don't know how you resolve this. I can't wait to see how close this is to what aired last year.
