Safe to guess that the Traitor is just throwing one huge temper-tantrum for being denied the one "toy" she always wanted. It's ironic, considered how she told off Nigel regards of his never growing up when she's acting like a child, but that's just my perspective. What gave her identity away for me was, interestingly enough, Kuki remarking how much stricter and bossier she became after Nigel left and before her "decommissioning". That certainly hinted a major personality change for the worst.

But I guess to be fair, her envy towards happy couples and her unrequited affections towards Nigel, not to mention the lack of closure at his abrupt departure and the feelings of abandonment that likely ensued, were bound to make her snap at some point. Even she's not that willfully strong, sad to say. Too bad she resorted to making her choice against the entity she once served diligently out of spite and revenge for denying her happiness, to be with the one she loves, even if she claims to "no longer care".

Anyway, this has been really... delightful... lol... to read, but I hope that you're still actively writing. This story is nearly 8 years old from the time I'm writing this review and it's been almost 2 years since the last chapter post.

My baby. ;-; He is messed up... you made this into a really depressing story - but hey, hopefully it ends well. Your an amazing writer, and you have endless creativity that astounds me. imagine if the adults oppressing kids had one single rule that even the most child hating ones never broke. that they could do anything to children in any way they choose to, but they are never suppose to put them in any serious danger to their lives. since adults would know that children are needed to preserve the future. the only ones i could see disregard that rule would be grandparents like grandfather who don't give a damn about the next generation, teenagers who are usually not at the stage to know the importance of preserving humanity's youth, and any sick person that even the adults themselves would shun in disgust and wouldn't let join their union.
