Love the sequence... And to the most part in character! Lovely and amazingly written.

Can you update this story again? Its one of my favorites. I remember reading a fic where SG-1 was on a planet to get a piece of technology to bring back to the SGC and on the planet there were Jaffa who had captured all the children and the people there desperately needed help to free the children. Jack had been given orders to get that piece of tech back to the SGC and not deviate for that. Well Sam disobeyed orders, snuck away from the group to go back for the children, without back up and without warning any member of her team. Could you come up with a chapter with the same story line?

Good chapter, well written and mosty in character. The only part I don't agree with is the 'making-out' session at the end. They are still CO and subordinate and I don't think they would let that happen (I could see one kiss, but not more). Other than that I really enjoyed the story, including the action scenes. Are you going to continue with this series of one-shots?

Awww poor Sam! I love how Jack suddenly felt like an ass- I could feel my heart clench at the thoughts he had! Loved how you wrote it :)

And just when I thought I might start liking these things. You're a pretty good writer and could do so much better.

This chapter doesn't seem to be in character. Jack does have a right to be anger and reprimand her. But Jack doesn't swear alot...especially at Sam. Or would stoop that low to insult her (about Jacob's influence).

As for Sam, she is more emotionally than in the tv shows. She wouldn't give up (ripping the badge off her jacket) or let Jack get to her like that. She is military and from a military family so she should be able to handle that, even tho it's personal. And Sam weeping and breaking down? I thought she was stronger than that.

I'm not so sure about them getting all romantic on each other at the end. Especially since the entire series, they have not done anything inappropriate.

Interesting take on these situations! I especially like that you had Jack acknowledge that it was a a do as I say, not as I do kind of thing - since he was notoriously insubordinate (according to canon and fanon!). Thanks for writing!

Hi, I'm reading your stories and I like them because there were time when even when I agreed with what Sam (or Daniel, but never Tealc) did, I wondered why they didn't get in trouble for it. How about Jack gets hurt because Sam doesn't follow an order? Like the episode where Jack gets the ancient knowledge downloaded for the second time because Daniel and Sam didn't want to leave it for the Gould? I love the Jack/Sam thread. Thanks for sharing, I'm enjoying them!

Awwwwwwww... I did think at times Sam was a little too unsure of herself and shrinky-away, but then again, I haven't watched Season 1 in a long time - maybe she was more like that back then... w/e, it turned out great in the end :D Good stuff!
