Lovepeaceandwar chapter 12 . 4/15/2015 I loved reading this. It was well written and lacked glaring grammatical errors that drive me crazy. You are really underappreciated as a writer on here. I realized that there was something missing which is why people have not taken this story. Despite not having this aspect, each chapter was a pleasant experience |
Guest chapter 12 . 3/31/2015 So great to read another chapter of this amazing story. Well done! |
Jooheika chapter 1 . 3/29/2015 I don't usually like romance stories strictly from the male lead perspective but this one is interesting. |
Guest chapter 12 . 3/27/2015 Why did you chose not to use the names Leroy and Hiram for Rachel's fathers? St. berry is officially canon. |
Ms.allea chapter 12 . 3/27/2015 love it! |
Ms. St. Berry chapter 12 . 3/26/2015 It's 03:00 am from where I'm talking and I need to be up in three hours but a review is needed, especially since I followed this fic for more than four years. I always hold close to my heart people that, even with crazy drama, give them a chance in love that I always hoped Ryan one day would give, and give he did. Rachel and Jesse's love is complicated, deep and happily ever after material but needed them to be mature, to make a relationship like this work you need to have a good head above your shoulders, a sense of responsibility, and a undeniable belief in one another. It happened in glee, and happened here. The way you made them grow up at every chapter, the realistic problems and that natural fights that come with being in a long distance relationship just made you fanfic more believable. I loved every word. I don't know if you will continue but for me it's enough. Thank you for writing and putting it here, bare yourself in a place that can be full of dislike needs courage. Congrats, you done a really good story. |
ArTeMuS09 chapter 11 . 3/24/2015 This story needs to be updated again! |
Silver Millenium SD chapter 11 . 4/18/2012 Can't wait for next update! Great story! |

Cris chapter 11 . 1/30/2012 THIS! This is the story that kept popping into my head from time to time, and I mourned that it looked like it might be abandoned! The story with the lake, and Jesse’s mom (okay, not together, but you know what I mean). I fell in love with this story MONTHS ago, and I am beyond ecstatic to see an update! Maybe it seems weird, but my favorite thing about this is actually Jesse’s relationship with his mother. Not the sex and snugglies. Is that weird? Yeah, that’s weird. But I’m serious: it’s SUCH an interesting dynamic you’ve built here, and it has the ring of authenticity to it, too. They have a dysfunctional relationship even though it isn’t chock-full of abuse or anything. Some emotional neglect, sure. And their non-conversations…it’s just…I love it. I really love it. There’s anger and sadness, bitterness, even a little acceptance towards the end. So lovely. I like that she wants to meet Rachel, and that Jesse doesn’t want that to happen (or at least isn’t going to go out of his way to make it happen). I’m eating up the drama of Shelby being a family friend, but all the secrets that people are keeping about the blow-up and what happened at the end of S1. The part of me that craves drama would love to see a confrontation somewhere down the line regarding all of that. But it wouldn’t be OOC for this relationship, I don’t think, if they just kept bottling everything up and never talked about it at all. The Jesse and Rachel relationship…you write it with a kind of heartbreaking realism that belies the rose-colored glasses we usually see in fanfiction. Though we understand that they love each other and really want to make this work, they still fight, and miss each other, and wonder whether all the angst is really worth it. There was even a charming kind of realistic awkwardness to their first time, which I definitely appreciated. While I love the usual fluff (it’s a nice break from the real world, let me tell you!), it’s also good to see that touch of reality now and then. I’ve done the long-distance thing and it sucks, but I have faith in these two. Especially if they’re both going to New York soon (please say yes! Please say yes!). They’ll both still be crazy busy – maybe even busier than they are now. But they’ll be together, and there’s an intimacy to inhabiting the same space that just doesn’t exist during phone calls, no matter how loving. I’m in love with this story, and I can’t wait to see what you have planned for us next! |
