Loved this. Smell is such a strong sense, it pulls on our memories (some from long ago, like how certain smells will rush me back to when I was child growing up with my grandparents), our emotions, our appetites, it's a powerful sense and one of my favorites for the very reason you wrote in this story. I love they way my children smelled when they were babies or the smell of my husbands pillow or my mom's patchouli that seems to linger even on cards she sends me in the mail. Sorry for that rant. But, with all that being said, this is probably my favorite story of yours I have read so far.

Wonderful oneshots! I just love them. I think it's pretty brilliant how you can write such a riveting story revolving around soap. I'm eagerly awaiting an update :)

Love it! Both the stories so far are great, and the way you write the characters is perfect! I'd never even considered some of the stuff you wrote about, like how Pepper didn't know about Yinsen, and how that scene in Casino Royale might affect people...

I think I like this chapter even more than the first :)

Again, really well written, and some fantastic, tender moments between the two of them. The way you've shown Pepper's unquestioning loyalty, and the way she just *knows* exactly what he needs and will drop everything to go to him is totally in-character and completely believable. I know I've read a good fic when I can picture the scene being played out before me as if it were part of the film - and I certainly can with this one.

I've just read both chapters of this and wanted to let you know I really enjoyed it. I'm reviewing the chapters separately as they are separate stories.

I thought this story was great: it's a very good representation of some of the issues that Tony would have to face upon returning from captivity, and it's very believable that apparently innocuous things - like the smell of a bar of soap - could cause problems anyone on the outside wouldn't understand.

Really well written: great narrative, beautiful description and a very accurate insight into what's going on in the minds of Pepper and Tony.

I love the tension between these two, and the troubled undercurrents beneath the trying-for-normal surface. And I'm pretty sure that I have Pepper's nightshirt somewhere.

I can feel that split lip! Man those hurt like a motha! I use this proactiv crap, and I put on this white cream on a spot before bed. Well if it gets too close to my lip, it swells. Like Angelina Jolie swells. And stays like that for half the day on one side of my mouth. *shakes head*

You write really really really good! No, better than good, awesome! I really loved the part with Pepper being laid back, and the bit with Tony's light. I would love to have a nightlite like him. lol!
