So Duncan is getting abused also shocker that's great that's his own bad attitude from wait until next chapter I am very busy call quote on quote smitten about this story because it's a very very detailed story on a very serious talk matter I would say that I am and also but I'm not proud of enjoy deep talk topic stories like 4 so Source about suicide so far abuse depression all of that stuff I just like waiting that's what I go through

I've read this and i was freaking screaming for Courtney to escape and when her sister died i freaked and man i loved ginger... i was freaking confused on duncan's mixed signals to Courtney. it was really great and man this is soooo unlike some of the other stuff I've read and just know this goes beyond a five star rating to me :) very pervy though and it was too sad for me. (I get very emotional on my favorite characters even if its a story lol its pretty funny to just scream at a part you dont like and the part that you just love makes you jump for joy. im a real insane person, huh?) as i said this was a truly amazing story for me and it was the best I've read after i stopped reading these total dram stories. The Courtney and Duncan part was really rare in this. Awesome :)

This story is so perfect, and mega sad. I'm actually crying right now. The idea and concept of this story is great, and the plot line is so interesting, and I feel so emotional righ now. You really know how to tug at somebodys heart strings.
Overall it's such a wonderful yet upsetting story.

Wow spent like 2hours reading this and I must day the first half before the three years later was hauntingly beautiful.

The imagery of the story was so vivid, it was as if I were Courtney and I could feel the beatings and rape. The abuse Courtney endured was horrific. Her mother physically and emotionally abusing Courtney due to her jealousy was sick. She was and is supposed to protect her children! She was a sad case. I hated her and honestly in ways I couldnt help but imagine her as a black woman. Lol I'm black myself so the way her language and actions showed she was a black woman.

Charity reminded me of Helga off of hey Arnold the whole 'he doesn't even remember my name' I went through a rollercoaster with her character. I wasn't sure if she really loved Courtney or felt relief that the abuse stopped a bit with Courtney's presence. (Btw you stated earlier she had 3 abortions, I'm assuming there all Davids)

David, Courtney's father at first appreciated Courtney as a person but I realized rather quickly that she was his lover. Sick! Incest is absolutely hateful an abomination just pure evil! So much in this story. Smh

Duncan I knew the moment you described his weird behavior I figured he was abused. He would get angry easily and he cried a lot. I questioned nearly a million times why he didn't help Courtney and hisself but with abuse (which I know very well) it is excruciatingly hard to accept your own troubles and knowing that if you tell you might be in a worse home(Foster care)

Okay for the 3 years later..

I'm going to be honest I didn't like it too much because the character roles changed drastically!

Courtney's dad whole maniacal plan was ridiculous and felt rushed. Courtney's mother giving a f*** was odd cause she didn't care for Courtney at all.

I did like however maverick and David's part in charity's death. I find it hard to believe the two having a gay relationship together though.

Duncan being raped was a great idea. (Sounds so wrong) but it makes sense to his sensitivity.

Why was DJ mad at Courtney at lunch?

Trent, you never said he was abused or not?

Why Duncan lived in the barn? (I know that ones obvious but still I'd like to know)

The grandma, her background with the boys (David mav)

All in all

I liked this, not loved but liked this. If it weren't rushed the second half and that chaotic barn scene was something more simple like them being locked in the basement it would have been pure excellence.
