Never have I ever read such a fanfiction that has caused me to dislike Irene quite so much. (I usually really like Irene.) I believe in this interpretation of yours, she has no soul.
I cannot help but to applaud on how you captured Sherlock Holmes' brilliance, emotions and his relationship with the Doctor.

Irene Adler, the only possible out of possibilities to have Sherlock Holmes a walking corpse, a living dead. Fascinating, I would say. And I like how there is love left for the woman other than the feeling of defeated. Impressive!

Everyone who's been comparing you to ACD? I'm wholly with them. I'm still in disbelief that I managed to find this gem in the ocean of fanfictions. Please please please continue to write professional pastiches of this genre. You'd probably be placed among the top and go on to receive the blessings from the estate itself.

This piece was a beautiful, forbidden insight into the mind of Sherlock Holmes, and I loved it from start to finish. I've never read a work depicting his tortured soul on this grand a scale, but you absolutely nailed it.

You have a natural knack for Watson's voice. (Seriously? Only two drafts?) I hope you don't let all this talent go to waste!

Great story, well written. It left me feeling sad though. Poor Sherlock. I do love him so, and I hate seeing him so miserable. I would like to read about their next encounter. Will you write a sequel?

Overall, impressive word choices. I find it difficult to fathom that a fan-fiction writer would take such care in selecting so many peroid specifically appropriate words, phrases, and syntax. The lusty conclusion felt out of place and perhaps a bit forced; still the voice of the work is quite an accomplishment.
