So I've definitely read Turn of the Screw (great read!) And I absolutely adore the fact that you took significant parts of the novel and incorporated them into this story! Misa's character was great, the fact that Matsuda was the tutor was GREATER, and the dynamics between all of the characters were PERFECTION. Light & L with their typical rivalry and love-bordering-on-hate relationship, and how Matsu fit into it all! (Granted, you combined my favorite anime with one of my most beloved novellas, so I'm more than bias haha) I honestly just love Matsuda's back story and the happy ending that he got (and deserved, considering the circumstances!) The tutor in the original story didn't get as great an ending, if I remember, so, out of all the original twists you inserted, this was my favorite.

My gosh, that's the longest review I've ever written, so sorry, I just felt I should at least attempt to explain why this is now in my Favorites.

I've seen this fiction in the updates list for a long time. I recognised it easily, it was the one that always made me think Berk, incest. This is one of my limits when reading fanfictions. However, the story seemed interesting and were it not for the incest, I would have read it long time ago. What got me to finally read it was the thought that maybe they weren't blood brothers. And I nearly stopped reading when I saw this hope was wrong. But 10 chapters later, I understood I would just have to bare the incest, that it was not so bad as it was not such a big part of the story, and that the suspense was too high, the characters too interesting and the atmosphere too overbearing to stop before the end. Your story was just too good to stop.

I particularly liked what you did with Matsuda. Without explaining, we could understand his trauma, guess part of his story. You let us time to make our own ideas, dropped clues, and only then did you bring answers, that were more confirmation and precisions than anything else. You timed your withdrawal of information impressively well! And I loved that Matsuda was so important. Really, I think I could have read this fiction only for him.

But I didn't because you did an amazing job with all the mixing plots. Light and Near, the Death Note and the house, the madness...
It was a wonderful mix of mistakes, lies and wills. No one was perfect, they all tried their best though.

I have two regrets though. First, I think you could have let us know more about Whammy 's feelings. Second, I would have liked to know more about Takada, Misa's maid. I think you killed a Takada in the house. So who is that one?

Thank you for the story, it's one of those stories that makes me glad I'm curious and can sometimes decide to go past my prejudices.

...WOW!... Did i really just read something like this?! I don't even know what to say...Oh but i felt as if killing mello in that way wasn't particularly necessary... poor matsuda died as well...the fic really was scary and...dark...i guess...But in the end, it was worth everything... *-*

I am gonna read chapter 16 and can't help but mention, I'm getting confused, excited, and immensely interested...I don't remember the last time I got this interested while reading a fic...I am considering everything from matsuda's perspective and am feeling sorry for L...Light's a bastard here as well...why am i not surprised?

I read up to chapter 11 and now I'm feeling scared...I'm lying down in bed and yet can feel chills running down my spines...Yet...I LOVE such scary stories!

Hmm.. okay..So this fic indeed has one of the the most intriguing and exceptional plots I've found so far...Interesting! I am totally hooked..

This is quite scary. But I think, almost in retrospect, Kira did Matsuda a perverse favour by allowing him to experience the pleasure of screwing the beautiful L. Matsuda did get swept away.

This story was awesome, I'm to lazy to switch to the last chapter, but I did read all of this. This story desevres like 1,000 reviews it's so good xD
