So sad and so sweet. I'm speechless. (cough, cough, excuse for crappy review)
I've... I think I've read and pondered over a million different versions of this scene, each and every one wonderful, but yours... It stands out. I won't say it's written in an unearthly smart style, or that it has shocked me or saddened me to a point from where I own't ocme back in weeks, but that's the whole point of it. You did NOT need all of that to buil a beautiful story.
A simple idea, reflecting on what they are and what could have been without further explanation than needed... It brings upa different, more pure kind of sadness, almost resigned, and balanced. BEAUTIFULLY balanced.

Ever since seeing the third movie, I've been wanting to read someone interpretation of that scene - the saddest scene - and this is one of the few I actually found.

Not only did I find it, but it's tragically beautiful. So sad, too..when he looked at her with that face, and held his hand out. I almost cried.

Dude, this is the deepest story I've ever read. You gave me a whole new look at that pivotal point in the movie. I saw something like this on Jessie's face in the theater, but I was to busy wiping my eyes to notice. Three cheers for crying in the movies! Yay! So, thanks for writing!

LOVE! I completely agree. Toy Story 3 was amazing and I think my favorite parts were pretty much anything that revolved around Jessie and Buzz, lol. Anyways, this story is amazing. I can't believe how much heart you managed to put into such a short [but incredibly great] OneShot. I loved it! :D

Wow...this was amazing. That whole paragraph about denial...you gave a whole other point of view on that scene. :) Very well written.

And thank goodness for Pixar - never thought the couple I rooted for would become canon! XD

Since I felt that the scene on-screen already said everything that could be said, I was skeptical approaching this. But this is a lovely piece that genuinely adds even more perspective. The "denial sewn into every fiber" paragraph is key, and deftly written. Thank you.

The situations in TS3 were exactly what Buzz needed to emerge from his coma of awkwardness, I agree. :)

But I really do love this. Captured the raw emotion of the scene really well - and the wonderful, wonderful way that Jessie realizes that Buzz has loved her all this time is so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time :')

My favorite line is *still* the one about denial being stitched into their being - it's such a poignant way of describing the very nature of a toy. Bravo! :D

That look on his face during the near death experience said it all.
