Excellent job on this story I loved it.

Absolutely wonderful. It goes just like I thought it would after the end of the movie, showing how people and lives change but childhood is still important. Woody at the end had me in tears. Thank you so much for writing this!

This part was my favorite: So Andy and Woody sit back and watch as Rex, leaping and roaring, is the hero. He looks back down at the sheriff, and even though he knows it's only his own pulse in his fingertips, it feels to him like the doll has a beating heart. It doesn't surprise him. He's always known Woody had a heart.

This made me cry. It probably didn't help that I was still a bit raw from watching the film.

The bit with Bonnie giving the toys back is wonderful! I really do hope they make their way back to Andy through that channel. Though the Toy Story short in front of Cars 2 will probably be humorous, I somehow hope that they'll go for something like this that can be even more of a bookend.
