I really like this fic too. I really liked your characterisation of Smith and the bit of dialogue with Edmund before Ed actually trys to enlist, it gave the character and the situation more depth. I really liked it.

That was a great piece, no matter what time you wrote it. I wish I could write with such meaning as you. :) Merry Christmas.

Was someone suppose to be playing a prank on me in that story? I mean I still liked it alot but I am going to keep my eyes peeled for this Smith character. Orkieus

2. I love this fic to pieces.

Oh wait, yes I am. It's the awesome writing-from someone else's POV, no less. The man (Smith) says five words in the entire trailer, and you've given him a whole poignant backstory. I'm in awe of this fic.

And it stings too, because Smith is so real, and his story is so believable, and the references to Jim are obviously so painful to him. Words are failing me to describe the greatness of this. Congratulations on a true work of art.

After watching "Toy Story 3" and no "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" trailer, I visited my cousin just to watch it on his computer. Talk about slow connection! And the fact that there was something wrong with the sound system! *rolls eyes* But... You were right. It was epic. :)

Liked the plot, King Caspian, as always. :) Though it is different... Probably due to lack of sleep.

This is really interesting - as soon as I saw the trailler I was intrested in the idea of Edmund wanting to enlist, especially as the fandom often seems to portray him as being against it, but not only have you picked up on the idea you've done something unexpectedly interesting with it. You've created an interesting and human character out of the guy in the line and I really like the way you've managed to capture the feel of the war in this. There's something quite sad about this but it also makes me feel a bit hopeful as well. Regardless, it's certainly an interesting bit of fiction an d very well written.

The first time I read this, I hadn't seen the Dawn Treader trailer yet and decided to read anyway, and though I liked it, I decided to re-read it after seeing the trailer. Your portrayal of this scene was really heart-wrenching. It's always interesting to see views of the Pevensies, especially Edmund, from someone else's point of view. Reading this certainly made the sadness come to life, but it was very well-done.

Edmund you cant join the military to get out of going to your aunts house or for any other reason
