Very nice story of what could have happened after the end of the Winter War. I was wondering if this chapter was to be considered the end of how Ikkaku and Rukia ended up running the Fifth, or if there is still more to tell with this story. Either way, I would like to hope to see how you decide to end this one out.

I always liked the Ikkaku/Tatsuki ship, and it was nice to see it get a nod here. (Is it called "Ikkatsuki"? or "Tattaku"?) Everything else moving along nicely, well-done to Hasty usual high standards.

Five or six good usages of words caught my attention in this chapter, but the eventual winner was "Any fly nearby would have had its choice of open mouths."

A nice can of worms is opened by Ikkaku, who is then surprised to find them wiggling away in every direction. As he himself might put it, "Nice going, f*cker."

Funny stuff, and the possibility of more ... jump aboard before the train gets moving fast.
