This was just so beautiful. Loved every part of it immensely, highlights including the camera's photographs, the 'super hero' comment, the tattoo, their silent water bottle meetings, when it's revealed that the other brother's name is Jack, how James reuses Jack's line of "if it's meant to be"- but the part about her sinking and wishing he was doing the same, looking out into the beach but not the same one as him, for some reason was the one that brought on the waterworks for me. But i loved all of it, every word. While the story is heartbreaking, I do get the sense of your hopefulness in it as you mentioned, and I think it's fitting that Kate has a bittersweet, poignant, melancholy existence that she needs to redeem herself in (eg, visiting her mother's grave, helping abuse victims), after what she's been through. Also love the alphabetical concept, which I didn't even realize for a while haha. So great, this one.

My eyes were so full with tears that I could barely read the last two chapters... beautiful fanfiction, I love your jack/kate stories :)

Let me just say that the rest of these chapters were simply amazing. The part about Kate visiting her mother at the cemetary was great and I can't believe Desmond and Penny named one of their sons Jack. Awwww. And Kate finally seeing Jack at the end - "She'll wait for him as long as it takes" - wow. Such a great way to finish this fic. You did a wonderful job with this and I am looking forward to reading the afterlife parts too. :)

Oh. My. God. Aaron is so absolutely adorable. I can't believe how intuitive he is. "And maybe someday they can make supercars and Aunt Kate can go see him." That is probably one of the sweetest things I have ever heard! I am going to start bawling right now, lol!

These just get more amazing the more I read. "Not everyone is lucky enough to be haunted." In any other context that would sound pretty amusing, but you have managed to make it seem like the worst thing in the world. Congrats on being able to do that with your writing. And I have to say, I liked the part about Kate getting a tattoo. 23, huh? Nice.

Wow, I just about cried when I read the one about the camera. The image of Jack going around the house sneakily taking pictures of Kate and Aaron is just too adorable, and therefore, heartbreaking.

WTF? It's done? Just like that? Just like that? Well, it was a pretty great ride. A very great, sad, loveable ride. About the idea of doing an afterlife fic- YES!
