I'm thoroughly enjoying this. Dread Pirate Snape, corny cowboy translation charms, zombie gorillas, the Princes related to the Sheriff of Nottingham, only a scratch. This is lovely. Your characterisation of Stan Shunpike is good, and Fawkes is endearing.

But how can Rita get the scoop in first when she didn't see what happened after the attack on her, and she went home before the Aurors caught up with the assassin? (I forget. Did she have an assistant or a colleague there, who could give her a heads-up? A camera-man maybe?)

Why do I think that the murder attempt on Rita Skeeter will somehow upstage the one on Kingsley Shacklebolt? She's the best at what she does or she'd have been fired years ago.
Now we have assassins added to the troubles of post-Voldemort Britain. Will Severus manage to avoid any future contact?
Is Hogwarts sending him these happy dreams or what? I do have to say that they're better than nightmares.
