I remember reading this years ago and, at the time, thought it was the best Bloodlines story ever. I'm so glad that still rings true. Thank you for this engaging story and I hope you continue to work on it in your spare time, as little as it might be.

Hmmmmm. Dima's draining contained...a looooot of exposition which also feels like you did a lot of homework, heheheh, though I do like his character trying to do best by his family while also having to endure such vile parts in his job.

It is really endearing how Lucien seems to care about Venus.
Hooh, boy, that was such a chaotic, dare I say, anarch-style getaway which yeah...seems understandable that Lucien would feel bad that he caused so much mayhem just to get his hands at some domain.

Where I live the quarantine lasted like a month but it felt like ages and also sapped my spirit. I had to force myself to be more productive which somewhat suceeded but damn I am glad that passed.

Yo I'm glad to see I'm not the only one reading this in one sitting, this story has had me engrossed from before breakfast to past midnight. I'm kinda sad almost Everytime I go to a new chapter because I feel I'm getting closer to the end.

Are you just trying to make the Mc a pity vent? Why are constantly shiting on him? For emotional investment? I’m not saying to make him op but fuck dude at least make him capable and competent. Damn I hate stories like this.

So, i decided to continue reading since i had already read half of the current chapters. And like someone else already mentioned in the comments the story got much better when Paul was introduced. Mercurio and Venus backstories were well done!

I enjoyed the writing of this story but... uh. I don't like it when the MC always get shit on. I don't know how else to word it. The way the situation with Therese ended wasn't enjoyable to me but i continued reading thinking about good things to come after Santa Monica but then he goes to Downtown LA and gets tortured by Sabbat. And that is where i am currently, at the end of chapter 26 with him being saved by Serena & Nines. Not really sure i want to continue reading, turns out stories like this just ain't my cup of tea i guess...

Anyways the writing itself is great and for those who don't mind the roller coaster ride of Lucious doing awesome vampire things to then getting shit on and then back and forth, then this is probably something that you will enjoy reading.

This chapter really showed how good of a writer you really are. All the extra backstory you made for the characters especially Mercurio is nothing short of amazing. The way the characters speak and their behaviors are so close to how they're portrayed in the game it almost makes me think you were a part of the team that made VtMB a skill I am extremely envious of. And the extra lore of the Whitewolf universe is much appreciated and adds so much to the already enthralling story. I'll be honest, the story had started off a little weak at first then gradually got better and better as chapters went on, I think when you introduced Paul and the spiritworld was when the it really started to shine, something you should be very proud of. I know you really crave reviews, something I've noticed with most if not all authors, but please don't feel discouraged not to write because of a lack of it. It's great to know that a ton of people enjoy your work, but you shouldn't let the thought of not getting reviews dampen your writing spirit. I love your story and am a bit sad you haven't continued it for about a year. Perhaps that's just how long you take to really flesh out your stories, you wouldn't be the first author I've followed who takes long periods of time to update, but I hope you haven't abandoned this. With the announcement of VtMB2 hopefully this'll renew your interest in this story. Even if it doesn't just know that you are an incredible writer and your work is much appreciated.

So it's really funny, so far Lucius has only really interacted with the big players, and their direct subordinates or Kindred like the thin-bloods who don't know any better. Literally the very top, and the very bottom. Murcutio's talk about other Kindred being worried about moving to Santa Monica has me wondering if a lot of the Kindred are just like, well for lack of a better phrase, just like regular people. I mean in our current society, we have the top, and than we have everyone else. I'm just wondering if Lucius will get good social mobility out of this, or if he'll be waved about as the Camarilla's next boogieman. I mean, if he's credited with high profile heists, insane murders without backup, and if he actually gets credit for curing this plague, he'll be a very well known entity.

Hmm, my spidey senses are telling me that the fetishes Pisha wants from the museum will become relevant in the next couple chapters. And the Giovanni, give aid to whoever will cause the most death? Sounds like they're funding the Sabbat, possibly the Anarchs, and may be responsible for this outbreak.

I wonder what Serena will think if/when Lucius doesn't join the clan Tremere. Rereading this, I'm reevaluating what scenes she's influencing Lucius, and how her perspective will be for things she's missed while exploring L.A. I could definitely see him being some sort of bridge between the Camarilla and Tremere as the new Prince of L.A. Not because those two groups will get along, but because he'll kick so much ass and so many top level vampires will die that peace will be more favorable than open antagonism. Lucisu, I think likes the idea of freedom that the Anarchs preach, but as a logical thinker can see the value in a structured society, like the Camarilla offer when it comes to upholding the masquerade.
