Reviews for A New Hope
Jennaya chapter 7 . 3/22/2014
Nice mixture of both shows and I can only imagine how big Johnny's eyes got at the bull whip. Loved all the details around Star Wars. One thing to mention is that since Hookrader didn't die on active military duty, he wouldn't have received a 21 gun salute. There are different amounts of gun fire salute depending upon how, when, and where the person died. He would have most likely received the traditional 9 gun salute unless he was a decorated military hero and then perhaps a 13 gun salute.
Nice story looking forward to reading more of yours.

That was a great story, thanks for sharing it. It was nice to reminisce about a great old movie like Star Wars. Still one of the best movies ever and I could totally see the guys being caught up in it. The Hookrater stuff was great, he was a real slave driver. I liked the added background of his story very much.

Well at least they now know no one could have saved Hookrater. And I love this Star Wars stuff it bring so many memories back. Poor Johnny losing a girl while on a date, no wonder he hates movies..lol...I don't blame him for getting out of there I would hate getting my face rubbed in it everytime I got dumped if I were John...great chapter. Sue

Oh boy now they are starting on Captain Hook..lol...I have a feeling that Hook will start on them though I could be wrong. I love the Star War part. I remember I was 16 and we all waited outside before they had the big multi plexs. I remember some going in custom..lol...great job I enjoyed the chapter. Sue

good story, i remember the rage the first Star Wars movie caused. Even thought I lived in a town that didn't have a movie theater and actually didn't get to watch the first Star Wars until the Second one came out and I managed to find a theater that ran the first two as a double feature. But i do remember the costumes and the attention it held. One of my class mates managed to get into the movie in Vegas almost a year before anyone else from our town was able to see it. He managed to keep us mesmerized with the story which he traveled up to 200 miles to see on several occations. he had a goal of working on a movie film crew and that movie was the greatest example of what he wanted to become. Sadley poor health got in his way but he had a dream.

That was FUN, especially for us older folks who remember the impact STAR WARS had on the times. I really do enjoy your portrayal of the boys from 51. They are spot-on and I can here Kevin Tighe and Randy Mantooth saying your lines. Thanks for the fun!

That was good I thought it was Mike. And I don't blame Hank for changing the matress either. Nice opening. Sue
