Great story! I really hope you write more Haydon/Prideaux stories because you did a very good job with this one and there's not nearly enough stories for such a great pairing!

This is one marvelous story. It flows so well and is so heartbreaking. I liked reading from Jim's perspective.

Yeah! I've been wanting to read fic about Bill and Jim since I've read the book, and yours is only the second one I find. I love it. Bill is a charismatic and fascinating character, especially when young, and it's good to have more of it. I love "I may or may not have waxed lyrical."

My other favourite line is "Jim looks straight ahead through the windscreen and wonders why Smiley wastes time on torturing him when he's so good at torturing himself."

And of course, the ending broke my heart. I missed this scene so much in the book. The very short lines, but with so much meaning and strength.

What a story. I can do nothing but lean back and admire.
