Guest chapter 16 . 6/27/2013 Well. I know you had to get rid of fawkes to further the storyline. However making a ultimate bad guy who cant be damaged. Cant agree with it. It bothers me evrytime because later when said bad guy needs to disappear it makes their death unbelievable and ruins the story for me. And making buddy buddy later is unbelievable due to that being oc for your mc. |
Guest chapter 15 . 3/24/2013 you do realize humans CREATED deathclaws, by splicing lizard dna...right? |
Guest chapter 20 . 7/27/2012 that was awsome man really good keep rightin |
Andrew.was.here chapter 20 . 2/24/2012 Shame he had to die so young. I guess after all the sacrifices he made for the good of the Capitol Wasteland, one more sacrifice for the good of maybe all of the U.S. And if Fawkes was going to die, because of that stranger in a trenchcoat, who better than at the hands of his bestie. Good job. ...Now for some improvement :) I do I have one suggestion, if you ever want to update, or maybe something to use for Legacy. Especially Legacy, being that it's 18 years later. I'd like to see more settlements, whether large like Megaton or Rivet, or small like Arefu and Canterbury. I love that part of FO3, seeing how humanity survived and settled in a Post Apocalyptic Wasteland. |
TheDawgg chapter 20 . 2/9/2012 Now THAT! Is a good ending, I love the way everything fit, also the way you made the mysterious stranger into something more was brilliant. The Fawkes thing was pretty damn awesome too. Well I'm gonna get started on legacy. |
Andrew.was.here chapter 16 . 2/6/2012 Hmm...they were a little odd and maybe better off being torn apart...idk. I'm all for treating animals right and loving my pets, but worshipping them as my superior. Mental! But destroying maybe the last normal animals on Earth, ahh screw it, I'm just peeved at this stranger for what he did to the gentle giant! I hope he steps on a bottlecap mine! |

Andrew.was.here chapter 14 . 2/6/2012 Cool idea with normal animals. Haven't been to Vault Tec yet, but perhaps there's info on a vault meant to preserve animal life? Guess I'll wait and see. Good name too for the city. Being that Noah's Ark did the same thing. |
Andrew.was.here chapter 12 . 2/5/2012 Awesome! He's staying with his mutie bestie. And sounds like he's going to New Vegas. Due to the busy-ness of life, I'm still playing FO3. You've done such a great job on this story that I'm still reading it in spite of all the spoilers. Dernit! |
Andrew.was.here chapter 7 . 2/4/2012 If I could have a super mutant as a bestie, I'd go for the saving of his life. And I think Mr. LW and Fawkes and Charon, who is helping me kick butt atm, can wipe out the muties with out losing one life. But anyways, I'll find out in the chapters to come. |
Andrew.was.here chapter 5 . 2/3/2012 Can't say much since this story is finished. Thought I spotted spelling errors, just drunk talk, lol. But Lone Wonderer? Where'd that come from? Great story, wish I could put it down until I beat FO3, lol. ;-) |
Mhungo chapter 20 . 12/30/2011 Sad for Perry but a very satisfying ending none the less. Just one plot hole that I think needs to be cleared up. For all their resources in Old World technology and seeming invincibility the stranger's benefactors were apparently incapable of destroying Fawkes before the Wanderer sacrificed himself. The 'reporting' section with the mysterious stranger helped show that they may not have as much control over the situation as they'd like to have others believe. But there needs to be more asides like this. Perhaps one of the Wanderer's shots breaks through the stranger's shields/armour but only the reader knows about it. Or a show of panic at the rampaging Fawkes. Just throwing ideas around. One other thing. Noah. It just seems like such a waste. Why make such a unique society and then destroy it? Sure they were batshit crazy but it seems the only thing gained by going there was the loss of a companion. Why did the mysterious stranger tell them to go there specifically if there was absolutely nothing else there? The Wanderer talked a bit like an NPC though. As in: unloading his complex, emotional inner conflict at the drop of a hat. It did get better. Dialogue aside the writing is excellent which worked quite well because your Wanderer couldn't speak for the last few chapters anyway. Looking back my review seems a long list of criticism but I really did enjoy this story. Its why I read all twenty chapters. I meant only to provide some constructive criticism to help improve your writing. Good luck with all your future works. |
Lucinger Zalsar chapter 20 . 9/11/2011 Well I just finished reading, and I must say as much as I wasn't enthralled with the last few chapters, that was a brilliant and fitting end for Perry and a all round good ending. I personally cannot wait for your next story involving Perry's daughter |
The Japanese Wonder chapter 20 . 9/11/2011 Whoo! That was a powerful ending. I could see a film being constructed from a similar premise, and the moment I read that last line I could see and hear the credits roll. This has been one of my favorite stories here, thank you very much for the action and suspense! |
Agent 94 chapter 20 . 9/11/2011 So the Stranger failed and so did his employers. But Legacy is going to take place far enough into the future. I do hope I find out whatever happened to Ulysses. And Obsidian better not mess up. To be honest, I thought House is the best option for the Wasteland. Sure he's building everything from the Old World but there is a lot of good from the Old World. Who am I, the player? A mere Courier who may think he is in charge but overall, I'm following an AI, not myself. Yeah, sure, I make the decisions. But still there was a hinted ending that the Courier may have been overthrown by Yes Man. But post-ending gameplay was scrapped unfortunately. How would it turn out if the player was in charge? What happens to the NCR? Legion? Vegas? What if my character was is an idiot with 3 IN? The Republic is corrupt and the Legion are slavers. Independent Vegas is up to the player's imagination. House is immortal and at least he has a better chance in making the world a better place. To me, the Courier is always potrayed as someone who follows orders. An Enforcer to a party if you will. Not some revolutionary who wants to make a world a better place. No, Tandi is like that. House is (sort of) like that. Courier? A big maybe and his/her ending is based off his/her karma. I assume Jesse is a Good Karma Courier. Still this has been a great story and I do look forward to the sequel. Good luck with that. And with showing that flag pole up Ulysses' ass too. |
