While it is perfectly all right for Harry not to be romantically interested in Ginny, it is legal anywhere except for South Korea for second cousins to marry and any geneticist will tell you that there is no particular risk to the children of such a union, unless the common family link has some hereditary disease.

Ouch! Reading the word "pineapple" alone makes my mouth hurt. I can't even pass one of those fresh pineapple sampling stalls in a supermarket without cringing. I seem to be very susceptible to the bromelain in the pineapple and if I eat them it feels almost as though a (very small) hand grenade has exploded in my mouth. I can't eat without pain for days. I don't even like cooked pineapples, like tinned, which don't contain the enzyme anymore.

No, using the Half-Blood Prince's book was indeed NOT cheating. Harry did exactly the same as in the previous five years, when Hermione MADE him do it: He brewed a potion he had no idea about, using hand-written instructions, to get a result he did not understand. He had no grounding in ingredient preparation, lab safety, the amount and direction of stirring, ingredient interaction, nothing. He followed the instructions and got some kind of resulting potion. With the instructions from the board the results were poor, with the instructions in the book they were a lot better. Even the handwriting was more or less the same.

And Hermione called him a cheater and immediately after rigged the quidditch try-outs. That's completely irrational behaviour, and probably plays a big role whenever someone brings up the love potions conspiracy. She cheated in favour of Ronald while hating Harry for everything. Teenage hormones can only explain so much...

You could have told us of a tale how he played at the worldcup and played in the finals, maybe even won. A tale how Hermione used her Knoweldge in her Job, and last but certainly NOT least how many Kids they had and brought up.

This is a story well worth reading and keeping. Yes, there are a number of fairly standard FF tropes in here, but you gave them fresh twists.

Due to the length, I really have finished what I wanted to say. Still, I've given you more than just a 'Great story', so there.

Great first two chapters. Harry's letter makes all the sense in the world.

It points out all the the holes in JKR's first five and a half books. Harry is finally using the smarts he inherited from Lily and James. Still, he doesn't realize it yet, but he IS the bloke for Hermione.

One of the more novel story ideas I've read. Looking forward to the rest of the chapters.
