Everyone was hyped up for Chaos it was ultimately so disappointing that you don't even get to actually fight him, hell, we could have had a boss fight in that scene playing as Tails! Again, thank you for doing Tails some justice!

This was SO MUCH BETTER than what the game did with this scene! Not to mention I agree with you 100% about what they did with Tails I mean he probably had the most character development out of all the characters and that one scene at him cowering from CHAOS ZERO of all the villains it was undeniable proof that all of it was flush down the toilet! I hope those writers and everyone at SEGA get their act together and realize the full potential ALL the Sonic characters have!

(Sorry for the rant but this was my biggest complaint of Sonic Forces and it will likely stick with me for a while but this really was a great chapter as you did Tails justice.)

The implications of torturing Sonic seemed so off in the game but I'm glad you gave it the right mood! At least in the game they did mention Tails having a hard time after Sonic was taken (when he berates himself for not being able to fix Omega right before Classic Sonic shows up), so there's a lot to explore there with how he deals with not having Sonic to support him. Great as always! Will be looking forward to the next chapter!

Oh my god. I don't even know how to start. I was reading this when i was in *middle school*. I'm in college now. I was always longing for the final part of this chain and I would occasionally re-read all these chapters in high school and then I eventually stopped since I stopped posting fics and reading fanfiction (for the most part). I remember this series inspired me to write a Sonic fic around the end of middle school haha and I loved some of your other fics as well. I even mentioned this fic to friends when we were just sharing old memories, it really held a special place in my heart. By now I had forgotten about this fic and to see the update notification in my email inbox just swelled me with a lot of joy within (after my disbelief). Its filling me with sweet nostalgia and reminded me why I love Sonic to this day :') Thank you so much for updating this and completing the drabble chain. I love it. Hope you're doing well 3

Why'd you leave it there?! It's been years! Please update with the next installment! I've literally been binge reading this in the span of 2 days after finding this wonderful piece of work! And here's an idea I would love to see eventually. I've read your last SU drabble and would love to see the anticipated meeting! A Sonic Underground drabble where Sonic and the sibs finally realize who they've been crossing paths with continuosly. Maybe in a way where Sleet and Dingo are trying to catch a mystery Freedom Fighter (aka Tails, who's disguised) and then get into a mess with the SU. When the SU have trouble, Tails steps in and accidentally loses the disguise during the battle. Tails would be in disguise because of his past (abandoned, bullied, set apart, hated, and later being chased down to be an experiment which didn't end up happening).

The ending was great! I mean, sure, I prefer the romantic SonTails ship, but the platonic brotherly ship works just as well!
