Okay. I love Gobber (honestly, I don't think he is appreciated enough by fans) and the fact he knows Hiccup so well. I love the part about ignoring the odd things Hiccup does but the scene with the saddle and the scene with "one of those days" is my favorite because, often, its true and awkward.

Haha, love it! I like how you explain that Gobber knew something was up [after all, he shares the shop with Hiccup most of the time] but decided to just ignore it. And lol to Hiccup's line, "This is..something." :P Your stories continue to amaze me.

Gobber had to have noticed something going on, he's way too perceptive about people in general not to. This was a perfect, and hysterical, explanation of what went through his head as he did nothing.

Oh, Gobber! If only you knew what Hiccup was really doing...but then again it makes it so much funnier when he just suspects oddness! I loved the scene with the saddle. Talk about an awkward situation. But I agree that Gobber had to have seen something at some point, with Hiccup making so many things in the forge.

Oh wow. I was just giggling so much while reading this story partially because the 'See you tomorrow' song from the HTTYD movie score is playing over my earphones and it matches up perfectly while reading this story.

I love how you've taken a whole chapter and have filled it with nothing but thoughts. Not so much dialogue and description but the roll-around thoughts of a character that doesn't get written or explored that often in this fandom. Oh Gobber, the unassuming uncle-like figure :)

I enjoy your staccato sentences that are appropriate to keep the reader in his thoughts. Like the second to last paragraph as Gobber watches him go-mostly all in his head deciding how weird Hiccup is, and would never conclude that the little rascal was training a dragon.

Love the sprinkling of the art/design comparisons, and the rarer words you use i.e. instead of 'heavy' you use 'cumbersome' :)
