I love your visual imagery and sense of humor, especially "Harry imploding in a fit of repressed angst" and Ruth 'brandishing' a spoon. One thing, though: the way it's written, Lucas' part is more in character with something Adam or Zaf would have done.

Hey! I'm going to be honest because I think this has potential. Lucas' reaction might not be quite in character - maybe re-think him a little. And you might want to write slightly longer chapters so that we get a better feel for what it is you're trying to write. You've tagged it as a romance piece, but this rings more like a comedic one at this point.

Having said that, you're succinct and everything is formatted correctly, which is a good sign and you're starting from a good place so I'm interested as you where you go from here.
