Hey, I just found this, and I liked it. Very angsty. I liked Napoleon tracking down Illya, and calling him on his wallowing in pity. Of course, now I have to track down and read the earlier stories. Anyway, thanks for posting.

Aha! Just reading this after Act Like You Mean It, and it follows very well. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

You may or may not like the comparison, but this reminds me of an episode of Lois & Clark, after they're engaged. Somebody or other realizes that Lois is Superman's weak spot and uses her to get to him. At the end of the episode he breaks up with her rather than have her put in danger because of him. She didn't let that last either.

A moving story, about real friendship. Both are stubborn... but Napoleon won't give up. Thanks for this !
