I'm loving this story! Poor obi-wan.. I hope he resists the dark side and finds a way for that poison to go away. At least qui-gon finally saw the error of his ways. I hope you update soon. Great job so far!

Starhunter79 chapter 17 . 2/23/2013
WOW, I never say "OMG" because I hate that saying. But this story (along with one other) deserves it so here goes... "WOW" (I just couldn't do it, sorry lol :p) it's hauntingly beautiful and heartbreaking. I loved it all so much, my heart is still aching. The images, feelings and emotions that you invoke are palpable and can be suffocating at times. Your story makes my heart hurt and I LOVE it. This chapter keeps building upon the pressure and doesn't allow the cathartic release that my heart, body and soul are screaming for. It's torture and I have to admit I don't want it to stop to soon. When it is finally over I believe the relief I feel will be so much the better because of the pain and suffering. (I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Your story creates such powerful feelings, emotions, sensations, and images that it's hard to capture them. I'm having problems giving my thoughts and emotions words, I'm speechless. Every time I try to verbalize my ideas they scatter, it's like I'm trying to catch a "fly with chopsticks" or stop a dam with a thimble. It feels impossible but I keep trying and yes I know what Yoda would say ;D)

When Obi Wan murders the captian my heart sank, but I feel that he has not fallen or turned. It was something he had to do, he didn't seem to make a conscious choice. The Sith poison, the torture, the drugs, the pain and suffering found in the room, his struggle to do ghe eight thing, his feelings of faliure, his desire to stop his mother's suffering and save her, the captian, Ishtar and the sick little game all conspired and forced him to kill the captain. (I'll admit I was happy to see him die in a horrific way. I kind of think he got off to easy, but that my inner Sith speaking. Lol) Obi Wan only stops the torture and tries to save his mother, he does not destroy everything around then hunt and everyone he can. I'm not saying Obi Wan is blameless, because once the captian was subdued he should have stopped. But just because you should do something it does not mean that's the right thing; doing something that should be done doesn't make you righteous just as not doing that thing makes you a devil. The Sith poison is also corrupting Obi Wan's connection to the force. Which makes me think he might not have been able to stop, even if he wanted to. This seems like a probability because when they are finally rescued Obi Wan doesn't lay waste to everything and everyone in his sight. He fights, and yes kills, but only so they can escape. Obi Wan also doesn't seek revenge for anything on Ishtar and instead opts for escape. I don't know how Obi Wan is able to appear so calm or even function normally while his mind is being violated with that horrible and blinding scream. He has incredible strength and faith in the force because he fights instead of just surrendering to the pain or subcomming to death. While I realize that Obi Wan was the one, along with his mother, to suffer the physical effects of the torture. I feel that Qui Gon was the intended victim and that he actually suffered more than Obi Wan. Qui Gon finally sees what his actions and the choices he forced Obi Wan to make have done to Obi Wan; the vail has been lifted and Qui Gon now has to deal with the knowledge just as Obi Wan has had to deal with it. I hope it doesn't break Qui Gon.

I was thrilled when I saw that there was an update for this story. The typos were not noticeable and did not effect the flow of your story. I can't wait for the next chapter. Thank you for your wonderful story.

Love it! ;) Please post a new chapter!
Starhunter79 chapter 16 . 2/12/2013
WOW, just wow. I read this through 2 times and I'm still shocked. I'm speechless, it's amazing. The pain and suffering are palatable, but so is the hope and determination. I was sad to see Xie killed off so soon and so easily. I would love to see more interaction between Obi Wan and Qui Gon, them working out issues and even Obi Wan and Anakin. A fight scene with Obi and Ani would be great, especially with Obi new abilities. I would like to see what and how these new abilities affect Obi Wan. Ishtar is great, her actions are complicated and keeps me guessing about her motivation and her true plan. Obi Wan's attempts to understand what's happening to him and decide who he is going to be is heartbreaking. He is always trying to do what he thinks is right but he keeps feeling that he has failed. I actually found my self crying, smiling and even scared for Obi Wan. Your story came alive for me.

When I read that another author was going to be taking over I was a little apprehensive about the styles meshing together, but it is clear why you've worked together before. I hope that this story will be completed. I would like to say that I have not been having any problems with discerning dreams/visions from flashbacks, the feel (that's the best way I can describe it) is different when reading a flashback compared to a dream/vision. Oh and I hated when you decided to label them in your chapters, because I found it cut the natural flow of the story.
