LuckyStrike chapter 2 . 6/1/2014 Please don't abandon this story! |
GeneralGeneric chapter 2 . 11/8/2010 It's a shame that I seem to have stumbled on this abandoned? fic; I want to read more, but it doesn't seem likely to update. I've always been a fan of reading stories of video games and the like written into prose form, especially if the language is good. I feel like the characters have been caught very well, as shown by the narratives. Other than a few grammar mistakes and all, this is wonderful. Wish I could see the continuation... |
Runty Grunty chapter 2 . 6/4/2010 Pretty nice chapter from Alicia's POV. I really liked the bit where Alicia visits Welkin at the Gunther Manor. Is your next chapter going to be from Isara's POV? I sure hope so; it would make the most sense. Having Noce be part of the first chapter was a nice touch, and his referencing Shakespeare was pretty funny stuff. He's a hopeless romantic, and I don't think I could've portrayed him the way you did. Good job. I do wish, however, that you could have taken a page from the anime and included Susie in the fighting (it would have added a nice dimension to the situation). But maybe you'll bring her into the picture later. Here's hoping you update soon. |
Force-Recon-tiberian chapter 1 . 5/29/2010 alot of people get this wrong and i can see why but for future reference, Darcsens have purple (possibly violet) hair and eyes. So you might want to change the part when describing Isara |
Runty Grunty chapter 1 . 5/29/2010 Now this is an interesting take on VC's story: a prose version. I haven't read a prose book since Bernard Cornwell's Warlord Chronicles. Are you planning to stick to Welkin's POV throughout the whole thing or are you planning to switch from character to character? I'll assume Welkin's POV for now. You certainly made a nice version of the game's start-up, despite your claim of having writer's block. It sure didn't seem like it. If this is what you're writing with WB, I anxiously await to see what you can do when you're in your groove. Seeing how you have Welkin describe in his head what the Sevens are like will certainly be an interesting read. If you need any help on how Welkin could think of Marina Wulfstan, I'd be glad to offer my opinion; DC20 says I'm the resident "Marina expert", and I don't intend to argue with him on the point. I hope to see your next chapter soon. |
