Hey, WHEN are you coming back exactly? I honestly can't believe I've been reading this since I was in high school. HIGH SCHOOL. And I'm still hooked! For God's sake, woman, just write another chapter.

I knew it, I've known for years, since I started to read this fanfic... in high school? Jesus... You REALLY take your time to upload, don't you? Please don't take that long this time. This story is still awesome and I really really really wanna know what happens. It's the best NDP fanfic I've read. Actually, it might be the best fanfic I've read. Come on! Do it for the fans.

Lol I'm all for the ship but when fear is followed by action acting like what people think doesn't matter makes me side-eye Marie. Hah gotta ease em in.
And here I thought she didn't know about the engagement. Really should have account for it, but maybe they swore never to return?

I wonder if he'll be a jerk? Or maybe worse an actually decent guy?

Wow, I have to say I'm impressed by this story so far! It takes a lot for me to like OC stories, but you really have a talent for setting up the characters, setting, and mood. This actually feels pretty natural. I'm surprised Disney Quasimodo could work so well in the Victor Hugo storyline, but oddly enough it does. Somehow imagining that version of Quasi going through those events is even more heartbreaking :'(

I will say I knew the Duponts would come into play at some point. You don't introduce a Chekhov's Gun like that and not fire it. I'm also relieved Arnaud interrupted the love birds before things got out of hand. If their love is going to have any hope of not getting them burned at the stake then they'll definitely need to play it by the book. So far I like just about every character in this story. I was afraid Gabriel would be annoying, but he's actually a pretty well written kid character. Okay, at this point I'm just rambling. My point is you did a good job on this story and I look forward to seeing where this is going :)

Welcome back! This is such a beautifully told tale and I am so happy to see that you are aiming to complete it. I can imagine your characters waking up after a long sleep!

This is a lovely chapter – Gabriel does make me laugh, and “it is about time” for Quasi and Marie in a very sensuous scene. Oh my… I have been wondering about these Dupont people since you first revealed them. Who are they, indeed, and will Arnaud need to employ his scholarly skills again?

Thankfully you have given reassurance of a happy ending, but the next chapter is eagerly awaited and will certainly be welcomed like a good friend.

I hope you are in a happier place now and that writing is bringing you its own special form of healing.

I am SO glad that you resumed this beautiful tale. It's sweet and precious and so many other good things. A happy ending is very important, too. Quasi can't live broken-hearted, nor can Marie. Your characters were so lovely, it's nice to read of them continuing their adventure.

It's sad to read that your life fell apart. Hopefully it's being patched together into a place of comfort, and becoming better now that before. Many hugs to you.
