I was so sad when it seemed like this story would be abandoned, as I found it such a breath of fresh air in terms of the uniqueness of its storyline. Your work is my all time favourite lotr fanfiction...the way you describe Legolas is amazing. You gave a deep to his character whitch is really rare to found in a fanfiction. I love this slowburn energy its seems so realistic. I just hope and wish you would gona updating much often but I dont mind wait another 10 years cos its that good. Cant wait for another chapter!

holy SHIT i just finished reading all of this in one go and i have to say this might be one of the best pieces of fanfiction I've ever read.
you have such an incredible grasp on tolkien and wield it so well - I've never read the books, only watched the movies many times, and it feels so true to the universe.
i am so excited to see where this goes... Anne feels so tangible, and I'm obsessed with her story so far. I cannot wait to read more. thank you for sharing with us.

Great beginning!

Prepare yourself for some gushing... I almost couldn't bring myself to read this chapter because I didn't want it to end... This is my all-time FAVOURITE pairing ever and I love it it and I can't possibly express in words how thrilling I find your work. I just adore how Legolas is kind of dark and for once acts like an immortal and hardened elf to whom attraction to a measly human would be almost mockable. I also love how slow-burn this is going- it makes the ship so much more satisfying and REALISTIC- like a 3000 plus year old who has seen so much would not immediately find a naive, socially clumsy but innately kind and lovable mortal worth much at superficial glance which you have presented so so well as the changing of that perception. I am sorry for how poorly I am expressing myself, but I am finding it hard to let you know the extent that I love your ability to craft an incredibly genuine narrative and such believeable characters who are so easy to invest so much xx

At last! Happy you've returned and that you are doing well. Selfishly, I have longed for an update to this story. It remains one of the dearest to my heart in this space and this chapter was a brilliant update and has spectacular mood building. The visuals your writing conjures always sustain the scene in ways which deeply affect and move this reader. Pippin is a marvelous character in this, I am thoroughly enjoying his wit!
It is great to see the thawing between Legolas and Anne, and I must say their conversation, serious though it was as she struggled with her fears, was beautiful. He was not cruel nor mocking, and I doubt he could be so towards her now. Frankly my dear... I do give a damn (though may be that is not the intent). I liked how he tries not to influence her but gives only words of reassurance despite himself. "You would be safe with me." There is more there than factual meaning. It can be construed as placing one as an equal, not merely a troublesome burden, and as someone close, to him. I may wrong.
The muted atmosphere with the rain falling on solitary surroundings builds a sort of veil where there is only the two of them. I know, may be too far fetched but it need not be of romantic ilk. To my reader's mind it felt they drew closer in companionship in that important moment of deciding her future.

I know it's been like 7 years since you last updated and will probably never read this, but I wanted to let you know just in case how much I have loved reading this story and really hope you'll continue. I have never liked a representation of Legolas as much as I have adored this one- the darkness and aloofness about him was just so artfully and realistically depicted that I found myself wanting to read the chapters over and over again. This is one of my all time favourite fics and I count myself as so lucky to have found it. Their relationship and the slowburn is all I could have wanted to read in a story and their dynamic is one that is so easy to believe in- how young and alleviating of his worries she is and how wise and cold he is. Every moment reading this was a joy. I love this pairing so much and the way you explored it was so compelling and well written. Even if you don't continue, thank you for writing it so far x

I have been searching for this story for literal years! Every few months, I would go through different search results to try and find it. It is one of the best pieces of fanfiction I've ever read. Hands down.

I was so worried that it would become an abandoned story, but I see an update from 2020! I found the story and it's not abandoned!

I completely understand having to deprioritize certain stories/activities as life goes on. Just know you've had a fan for about 10 years following this fic and supporting you from the sides! If you need a beta or anything, just let me know!

I've been following this story for years, and I still absolutely love it! I've lost it and found it probably 3 separate times before finally following it :P You've created a very intriguing world within the Lord of the Rings, and if you ever continue I'll be very excited to dive back in!
