OutToGarden chapter 1 . 3/27/2014 Dayum. For such a short story it sure was emotional. I almost didn't want to leave a review because I'm afraid I won't be able to articulate well enough how much I liked this. It was so tender and perfect. I loved the way things repeated on occasion; it lended a good style. Truly excellent all the way through :) |
KKtheRipper chapter 1 . 2/28/2014 Oh my Gosh! I am crying so hard right now! Please I know it's been 4 years since you wrote this, but let me know...was it Alfred? :( :'( |
theawesomeisadora chapter 1 . 6/23/2013 Oh my God, I'm bawling! Man, I'm crying so much, this was so amazing! Written so beautifully; thought about so precisely, and the details! Oh I can't get enough of the details! Wonderful, simply wonderful |

i Mel-chan i chapter 1 . 10/20/2012 For being a story of so many first, I have to say that was one if the lovest stories I've read in a while. I especially like all the references made with the color red. Nice! :) |
Bai-Marionette chapter 1 . 4/14/2012 Soon... Soon, soon both of yhu will find that bridge and emerald meadow again. Soon, nothing and no one will ever make yhu leave each other... Soon, the colour red will never bring up that sadness and yhu will only remember it was the red from that day under the bridge. No pain recalled. Soon... |
Nicki Plague chapter 1 . 2/26/2012 ...you made me cry... |
vheer chapter 1 . 2/25/2012 Was Alfred happy, I am afraid I did not quite catch ? Very beautiful, thank you. |
Mattysones chapter 1 . 1/25/2012 I don't think the soldier was Alfred, just Arthur's dying thoughts of "Close enough" because he was letting himself think of what made him the happiest. I might be wrong though! I get frustrated with ambiguous endings. Nicely written. |
kitkit11183 chapter 1 . 11/12/2011 Beautifully depressing, although Arthur died happy. |
Cat101495 chapter 1 . 10/6/2011 I read this before school and I went the bus stop crying a little " Great story! I love it! It takes place during the American Civil War, right? But, so emotional, especially at the end |
Hellhound15 chapter 1 . 9/18/2011 You know, even though a lot of people are thinking that the soldier might have been Alfred, my mind instantly jumped to Germany for some reason. Either way the imagery was beautiful. 'Beautiful', yes, my vocabulary has failed me. I could almost see this playing out, yet there was this dream-like quality, almost like a hazy memory or one of those blistering summer days that meld everything together. I could rant a lot more on how poetic your prose is, yet all my ramblings will only fall short of the original, so I'm stopping it at this. |
Trumpet-Geek chapter 1 . 7/9/2011 This was absolutely gorgeous. I don't know what else to say. |
Disenchanted Magdalen chapter 1 . 4/8/2011 Oh My Lord. I'm crying. I love this... so much. |
