Love it! We definetly did not get enough Maiko in the show. The more you consider their personalities, the more you realize how perfect they are for each other. And this one shot is very consistent with how they are supposed to be portrayed!

Awwww... I'm serious, by the time I finished reading this I had a dopey smile on my face and was saying "Awww..."

Reality is never perfect. But this story came pretty close!

I think his advisors would learn VERY quickly not to mess with Mai.

Purrrfect. Love it. This walks the line between overly political peacetime angst and light fluff love much better than I've ever seen in a post-series maiko one-shot. Scorch marks and knife holes. Heheh. That is so them!

Adorable. I really liked this one a lot, actually. You did a great job at capturing the reality of a political position (which is often sorely lacking, and this annoys me), and I loved the way you wrote their relationship without changing their characters. It was very well done.

cutest thing ever! I love maiko, and you write them very in character. I think you need to put in a lot more dialogue in your stories, though, if you want some constructive criticism.
