Wow. Krad is the WORST birthday present anyone could get. Though the point about Krad being born from hate and Dark from love is interesting. It sort of makes sense and makes them seem even more opposite... and conflicted...

This was beautiful. And creepy of course, but beautiful nonetheless. I loved the imagery you painted, and the idea that if Krad had only been born surrounded by love and warmth he might not have been so cruel. And the awful IRONY of it happening on Satoshi's birthday is just brilliant. The title is perfect as well; my knowledge of the legend helps me appreciate the story even more. Thanks for this.
