This is beautifully written. I love the perspective you take and I think the way you descirbe the difference in their appearance (he the mess, she the tidy one).

I am a huge House/ Cuddy fan... but in a way was disappointed with the season finale. Only because I prefer the angst of their relationship than the happiness.

I like that it's sort of... wrong but right.

You wrote this so well and you captured the torture with such eloquence. Well done.

Liked that very much. Also liked that right off the bat you put in, with his question to himself, that he had obviously been sitting on the floor a long time. In forums, immediately after the epi, people were all saying that it must have been a hallucination as she couldn't possibly have had time to clean up and get to him in his apartment in time. They all seemed to forget the epi started with him in the bathroom then went back 8 hours, i.e. he had obviously been sitting there thinking in flashback! I and lots of others and obviously you too - managed to grasp that.

Loved the 'hello for the first time', thought that was so touching.

Would love to see a second chapter, where he goes home with her to start to get to 'know' Rachel (but then I am selfish as a reader and always want more!).
