This is beautiful, so sad and so touching. Experiencing Alex's precious, self-destructive memories with her is so like the flashbacks in the series, and you evoke her despair so movingly, especially when Annie and Nelson try to comfort her (how nice to see Annie becoming Alex's best friend) and when she scratches "6620" into the bar counter and bleeds into the scratches. And the ending is so glorious. Thank you for writing this!

Brilliant alternate version! Beautifully written as always, and the end with them being reunited was so lovely. Hehe, you're right, the effort to churn out the alternate endings does seem to be almost military, doesn't it?
