Imma stalk you now, okay? Okay. Because, gah, this is amazing! You are amazing! I can't believe how much thought/feeling/emmotion you put into this one little drabble. Everything you write flows so beautifully, even short little things like this. AND THE LANGUAGE. Oh my God, the language. Your work is art, darling; a sculpture, maybe, or a painting. I sighed after reading this. I did.

At the moment I'm pondering the use of the word 'awkward.' I think it's interesting because to me it's awkward because Matt has never had hopes before... And the burning, which relates to the stars, also has some kind of significance, like perhaps he doesn't like them or maybe they even hurt him. Being afraid of Mello crushing them is probably reasonable... But personally I think he'd let Mello do it if that were really what it came down to.
