sannnva chapter 25 . 7/20/2010 I'm catching up on all my reading and finished this story in a couple of nights. I like how you fixed all the discrepancies of the show (at least the glaring ones). I wasn't sure you'd get them all, but I think you did :o) The story moved at a brisk pace and kept my interest the entire time. The only thing I don't think you explained is why the SS officer showed up at Stalag 13 in the first place, so the scene where he nabbed Sam seemed a little rushed. And yeah, it might have worked better to suggest Hogan had the beginnings of pneumonia, not a cold, after being doused with the water. But I liked the Hogan/Wilson interaction in that chapter. Other than that, the only thing I would suggest is that you get a beta reader if you don't yet have one. There were many, many incorrect word uses, as well as punctuation errors. Way too many to point out here. While I enjoyed the story immensely, the flow was disrupted at times. You do great job getting inside both Hogan's and Klink's head and I look forward to reading more from you. |
ColHogan chapter 25 . 7/16/2010 Glad to see Hogan back at Stalag 13 where he belongs and that Klink supposedly bought his yarn. Loved how Hogan, despite his pain, managed to get under Hochstetter's skin still. Very good story. |
St PA chapter 24 . 7/13/2010 Exciting events occurring. Was there a major typo when Col Hogan started out with "Four score and SEVEN years ago," was interrupted by Schnitzer, and ended saying "Calling Papa Bear. Four score and SIX years ago." Or did I miss something. |
ColHogan chapter 24 . 7/11/2010 Glad to see Hogan will soon be back where he belongs although will a new code name. Can't wait to see how Klink will deal with his 'escape because of delirium' story. |
ColHogan chapter 23 . 7/10/2010 Nice way to show how the name Papa Bear came to be. Here's hoping the guys will either find Hogan or he can manage to find his way back to Stalag 13. Poor guys. |
Deana chapter 23 . 7/10/2010 Good way to explain why the name change from Goldilocks to papa Bear! Poor guys. |
ColHogan chapter 22 . 7/8/2010 I'm glad to see Hogan realizes Klink tries to treat his prisoners according to the Geneva Convention and that a lot of things in Hogan's personnel folder are made up things because as Klink said they probably went far beyond in their mistreatment of him.I especially like that Klink wants to protect Hogan at all costs even from himself if he has to. |
deanadamsgirl chapter 21 . 7/7/2010 Wonderfully written and lots of fun to read. I think you did an excellent job explaining certain events that have puzzled me for a long tim. Very well done! |
Deana chapter 21 . 7/1/2010 What a sweet chapter that was! :) |
Minnie chapter 21 . 7/1/2010 So that's why Carter wears gloves! Good idea. There's just one thing you need to fix. Carter returned LeBeau's 'gesture', not 'jester'. |
ColHogan chapter 21 . 7/1/2010 Glad to see LeBeau and Carter were able to work out their troubles without Hogan intervening. |
ColHogan chapter 20 . 6/30/2010 Boy did Newkirk nearly make a fatal mistake and I can understand Hogan's anger but am also glad he wasn't TOO angry at him. But he's right. If his men are going to disobey his orders they aren't likely to live very long. |
Deana chapter 20 . 6/29/2010 Whoops...Newkirk made a serious mistake! Good thing Hogan didn't get TOO mad. LOL |
ColHogan chapter 19 . 6/26/2010 I had a feeling Schmitt wasn't going to let Hogan get away with showing him up in front of the Kommandant. He could've given Hogan pneumonia. Glad to see him back at Stalag 13 and his men taking care of him. Hopefully Hogan can 'repay' Schmitt for his cruelty. |
Anonymous chapter 19 . 6/26/2010 People don't catch colds from getting cold and wet, otherwise everyone would get sick after a day of swimming in the ocean! I can't believe that you actually believe that. It was an old wives tale. Also, penicillin only works on bacterial infections, not cold viruses. |
