The world tree does not even register in the scale of an orbital elevator. An orbital elevator would be 70,000 km tall if it were on Earth. A more comparable structure to the world tree might be a mountain, or a UNSC super-carrier.

Also, UNSC is the scientific, military, and exploration arm of the UEG (United Earth Government), it is not the government itself despite the martial law during the war.

Oh i am sorry to hear that its tragic to loose some one so dedicated to his work to his fiction fic i can only imagine the hard ship that the people that knew the writer this fic in my opinion this is a master piece a tribute to the type of writer the author was and i hope every one can show the respect that writers like him and others deserve

I think MC character is a bit OOC as something is unable to appreciate. Like why he is told Classified information to leaders that he is not part of it .sure he is supposed to earn trust to those leaders but doesn’t mean he can tell the information. Was about Halo is classified to public? I am certain that intell about Spartan project and it’s augment is classified by ONI and is not elements to tell anyone but UNSC and Cortana is even didn’t point out of it, hell i am sure he can be arrested if ever UNSC or ONI arrived world

Actually, the Crusades were not religious wars. The idea of the Crusades being some sort of religious conquest and forced conversion was invented by Hollywood to dramatize an otherwise a rather boring collection of bandit-clearing operations. No idea why people think Hollywood is a reliable source of information, but apparently everyone believes whatever movies and TV shows. Same for forced conversion, Witch Hunts, and the Inquisition.

The early Crusades were to re-take Byzantine territory the Moors (a Muslim sect) had conquered and to save Constantinople from the Moor invasion.

The middle Crusades were fought beside the Muslims to get rid of bandits and renegade armies (quite common in that time period) from harassing merchants and pilgrims.

The second to last Crusade was a badass final stand bromance of Crusaders and Muslims fighting together against an invading extremist Muslim army that was basically medieval ISIS. They lost.

The last Crusade was an attempt to liberate the Holy Land and put the Muslim king back on his throne, this also failed.

There was also that time during one of the middle Crusades when one of the Crusade leaders went rogue and conquered Jerusalem. A combined army of Crusaders and Muslims under the command of Saladin freed the city.

And forced conversion has always been forbidden by the Church. A handful of kings and lords briefly did it for a short while, though they accepted mere lip-service as good enough, but the Church put a stop to that pretty quickly once word got back to Rome.

The Witch Hunts were Protestant. The Catholic stance is that witches don’t exist (because demons don’t make deals). Any Catholic who participated in witch hunting was promptly excommunicated for being a mass-murdering asshat.

The Inquisitions (there were several in various regions and sometimes concurrently) did not go around grabbing and torturing people. Rather their methods formed the basics of modern investigative practices and set the foundation of what became known as the “humans treatment of prisoners”. Heretics found guilty (which was extremely rare) were simply forgiven and released. The secular governments, however, had their own (ironically heretical) laws about heresy...like torturing them and burning them at the stakes.

The Inquisitors were understandably absolutely furious about this. Most don’t like it when someone who has been forgiven and released is snatched up, tortured, and painfully executed. Not exactly motivating for you to keep doing your job as an Inquisitor.

Some, such as the Spanish Inquisition, doubled as civilian criminal investigators, which is where their body count comes from. Although a few thousand people over like five hundred years isn’t exactly big and those were convicted of murder and other secular capital offenses by the local governments.

I can tell that the author is mediocre at writing since he uses the same words in every single line, wrong grammars, the dialogue is poor and some error punctuations. I can't stand a single second from reading this, i could literally feel my brain cells getting fried. So i gave up reading it. No offense but you should use the Grammarly App. XD

Sometimes, he could just use the weapons on that transport...i mean, its cool how veryone is awed by his appearance...but a massacre in seconds by a massive flying ship would be cool too...

I still can’t get over this part about John saying things that are completely classified. This is so OOC.

Someone needs to take up the mantle and finish this story along with halo x mass effect spartan dawn. Although they will have to step it up to meet what freedom guard's standard's were.I know people don't want to touch his story's as a sigh of respect but it's been nearly 7 years now it will be an insult not to finish this very rare and very impressive writing.
