Way more realistic than what happened next in canon. They (the writers) only let his leg hurt when it fits into the storyline, which is BS. Nice little story, thanks for sharing.

Love this! Not rusty at all. This is how I would've spent last evening following the finale . . . if I didn't have a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old who wore me right out and necessitated I go to bed at 9:30! There's nothing wrong with living vicariously through someone else's writings, right?
