I'm becoming very ambivalent about this piece. On the one hand, you write very well. On the other, the overall message here seems to be that Brennan has to conform to all Booth's ideals in order for them to have a relationship. He gets to set the timeline and all the rules, she's the one that has to 'learn' to love 'the right way'... it just doesn't feel like what they're building is going to work because she's doing ALL the compromising.

I like this story! I enjoy how it started out following the show a little bit but has now become its own story.

I do just want to point out one thing...at the end of this chapter you reference Marvel Comics, but Superman and Wonder Woman are from the DC comics...

I have just today discovered your Bones stories. Based upon another author's note, I've started with Problem Solving. Though only a little ways into the story, I wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying your story. I love the language that you use-I love when I'm sent to the dictionary to look up a new word. Specifically related to the movie marathon (Date 3) I thought Brennan's running commentary was genius! For me, it was a success and hit just the right note. I agree, too, that if it were a never before seen movie, the commentary might be less charming, but for movies seen many times before, it wouldn't be a distraction (or a distraction of a good kind). I'm looking forward to the remainder of this story.
