T.L. Arens chapter 1 . 8/3/2010 This was sweet and sat at the same time. I think had the series really ended in 5.22, it should have done something like this. But I'm delighted that Supernatural hasn't ended. Thank you for taking the time to write. I enjoyed it. |
xXxShiniXKazexXx chapter 1 . 7/4/2010 Oooh, excellent! D |
pinkphoenix1985 chapter 1 . 5/15/2010 this is great! |
jenilee chapter 1 . 5/15/2010 Dang...that was just beautiful, you made me cry. I really loved that. I felt a little like Sam in this, after that finale. Kind of at a loss and empty but happy they won, that they both learned how to let go. In my little world Sam has been rewarded for his sacrifice, he is free. Your story fits nicely in my world. ;D And I love the amulet being hung from the door. It was my only gripe that they didn't return it to Dean. Although I probably wouldn't have been able to continue watching through the tears if they had but still... |
SamDeanLove chapter 1 . 5/15/2010 AH! More..more please hurry up! |
Lynnee chapter 1 . 5/14/2010 Well, that was gut-wrenching... and it's possible that Sam would do something like that... but FORTUNATELY we all know it would never just end like that. (Phew!) Dean doesn't belong in someone else's life... people he barely knows, let's face it. (Give us a break, dear writers.) I just hate to wait for September for both of them to get their heads straight/find each other (in whatever order) so that they can be side by side fighting cool evil stuff again... but I guess September will come sooner than we think. Nice writing. |
Sotobow chapter 1 . 5/14/2010 "television-perfect" - I like that you used that term, because that's what it looked like. Sam says Dean can't feel him, well it seems to be vice versa. Dean's wishing he was dead right now. "he could not help but remember his good times with Jess" - Which is why I think the writers will have Dean play house for a while. They tend to keep the boys pretty equal. I wonder if for a moment Sam wondered if Dean had done something to bring him back... Huh. "Given time, that natural instinct might change entirely, from hunting and killing and Sam to having a catch with his son or fixing things around the house or going to a nine-to-five every day." - Jeez, rip out my heart, why don't ya? Great sentence, by the way - I loved the hunting, kill, SAM part. Like that's part of his instincts, which it is. "His life had never been his own...The only thing that ever had been real was Dean, and that was all he could not have anymore." - Oh, Sam. That's exactly what I'm afraid he'll end up doing on the show. The ending of your story was so sad, and exactly what I imagine Sam was deciding as the season ended. Like you've shown here, he wants Dean to have a chance at happiness. I love that you gave Sam freedom, too - it's something he's never really had. I'm still trying to decide if Chuck was supposed to be god. I'm cool with it - in Kripke-World it makes sense. Lol! Lovely, lovely story. I enjoyed it a great deal. Sotobow |
BOB chapter 1 . 5/14/2010 I'm depressed after the finale. Like, full fledged depression. Good fanfic |
fatewalker chapter 1 . 5/14/2010 I'd love to be eloquent and speak about the wonders of your story, but for now all I can manage is this: Kickass! I may have to take "Swan Song" and your story and just not watch season 6. |
Lalywitch chapter 1 . 5/14/2010 God, that last line killed me. Almost as much as the actual episode did. You're a very talented writer :) |
sweetysmart0505 chapter 1 . 5/14/2010 The last line of this story was beautiful. The whole story was. Very nice job on it. |
Shire cat chapter 1 . 5/14/2010 Wow, way to bring me to the verge of tears. There's got to be a way for Sam and Dean to be happy together, there just has to be. I love your narrative style and the sort of 'quiet' way that it conveys the vastness and, somehow, a tangibility, of non-corporeal experiences. I also love how you painted Chuck/God in this but I still want to hit him for letting Sam do that. |
Zyanya chapter 1 . 5/14/2010 "never had been and always would be"...really touching, thanks a lot! |
gostlcards chapter 1 . 5/14/2010 you're killing me smalls. it was great. final sentences was bitch. heatwrenching. good times :D |
triquetral chapter 1 . 5/14/2010 Lovely. I adore how you made the point that in death Sam is finally able to direct his course, to take his empty vessel and fill it. |
