I liked all the details of the magic. Wasn't expecting that twist at the end, but I think I like it ;)

Well, it's a good oneshot. If you did make it a series and manage to hold the quality consistently high, that would be great, but if you can't think of anything else, that's fine too.

The detail work on the mostly-serious pre-twist part is quite good. In fact parts of this story actually feel like Slayers, which is high praise. Even the zany end wouldn't be out of place in the filler episodes.
